‘Bold & Beautiful’ Casting New Leading Lady, Who Will It Be?
Apparently, Bold & Beautiful producers are searching for a new leading lady for the soap opera. Following Luna’s (portrayed by Lisa Yamada) exit, the CBS soap is on the hunt for someone new to add to the cast. So, what do we know about the new character? Keep reading to find out.
Sources Confirm B&B Casting Call
Multiple sources revealed that Bold & Beautiful is searching for a new young actress to join the soap opera. They told TV Insider the show is looking for someone to join on a contract basis. The new character’s name will be “Brittany.”
According to the casting call, she is described as a young woman between 18 and 20 years old. Brittany will be a “leading lady…any mixed ethnicity, fashionable, poised, beautiful, confident, playful, energetic, and assertive.”
The casting call doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Luna was the most recent leading lady on the CBS soap opera. However, now she’s headed to prison after it was revealed that she killed Tom (Clint Howard) and Holli (Hollis W. Chambers). Luna also framed her mom, Poppy (Romy Park), and then went on to drug and imprison Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Luna’s Downfall On Bold & Beautiful
Prior to her downfall, Luna was easily the leading lady on Bold & Beautiful. She had an interesting storyline and seemed to be a perfect match for RJ (Joshua Hoffman).
So far this year, much of the B&B storyline has focused on Luna. She was put in the middle of a triangle with PJ and his cousin Zende (Delon de Metz). Luna ate a few of her mother’s “mints,” which significantly altered her mood. She landed in bed with Zende. After their interaction, Zende seemed to be concerned for Luna, but he really had no reason to be.
It was soon revealed to Bold & Beautiful viewers that Luna was in control the whole time. Like many of the best leading ladies, she was working everyone around her like a puppet. She pretended to be out of it on pills that night she and Zende got together. Everything she did was carefully calculated.
Then her plot to frame her mother for murder unraveled. Now, she’s headed to prison, but there is still a possibility that fans will see Luna again. It wouldn’t be the first time Bold & Beautiful brought someone back from prison. Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) has committed similar crimes, but she has somehow been able to maintain her freedom.
That said, Luna will likely be missing from the show for a while, and B&B producers are looking for a new leading lady. Fans can only hope that “Brittany” isn’t as crazy as Luna, but she won’t be without her choice of love interests. RJ, Zende, and Will (Crew Morrow) are all single and ready to mingle. Maybe viewers will get to see a new love story unfold.
