‘Bold & Beautiful’ Fans Angry, 2 Characters Move To Another Soap
Two more actors have said goodbye to Bold & Beautiful as they move to another popular soap opera. The latest switch-up has fans calling B&B “a mess.” So, who is leaving the soap and where are they going? Keep reading to find out.
Danny & Christine Leave Genoa City
Danny Romalotti (played by Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) are leaving Bold & Beautiful for The Young & The Restless. The two soap stars previously appeared in a crossover episode between B&B and Y&R.
Now that the story arc is complete, Michael and Lauralee are headed back to The Young & The Restless. Longtime viewers were excited to see the pair when they returned to the soap in 2023. Then, this month, they returned for two episodes of Y&R, which aired the week of August 12.
The episodes featuring Michael and Lauralee brought in around 2.6 million viewers. Their appearances on Bold & Beautiful increased viewership by about 66,000. That week, The Young & The Restless just barely edged out B&B with 2.9 million viewers. Following her appearance on the show, Lauralee Bell posted on X thanking everyone who watched.
Despite viewership being at a high, many fans were angry to see another casting change on Bold & Beautiful. “Please leave Danny & Christine out in LA. They are booooooring,” one viewer wrote on social media.
Another person said, “God yes. They’ve been boring since the “80s. They really suck.” Several other fans agreed, while a critic wrote, “This show is a mess!”
Other Casting Changes On Bold & Beautiful
Bold & Beautiful fans have seen several actors come and go recently. In July, two fan-favorite characters were suddenly killed off. Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) was knocked off the soap. Not long before that Tom Starr (Clint Howard) was killed off too.
During Hollis’ autopsy, it was revealed that he was killed by the same drug that killed Tom. There is still speculation on who may have committed the murders. Some fans believe Poppy (Romy Park) or Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) could have killed the two men. Others think it could be two returning characters Justin (Aaron D. Spears) or Jack (Ted King).
While many fans were mad to see two characters be killed off, there have also been some exciting returns on the show. Ted King returned in July, as mentioned above. He reprised his role as Jack Finnegan, Li’s estranged husband.
The actor teased his return in June on Instagram. He posted a photo of himself in Los Angeles at CBS Television City. “Love being back in this building where icons have roamed the hallways for years,” he captioned the post.
Although his return to Bold & Beautiful was short, fans were thrilled to see him back on the soap. He hadn’t made an appearance on B&B since June 2023. Ted stepped away from daytime television for a while to focus on filming the movie Oppenheimer.
He appeared in two episodes of the soap on July 1 and July 12, but it isn’t known when fans can expect to see him again.

I agree, the storylines are really bad. A rehash of past seasons. Christine and Danny are so boring no matter which show they are on.
