‘Welcome To Plathville’ Moriah Plath Drops Bombshell About Ex
Recently, Welcome To Plathville star, Moriah Plath finally opened up about the torturous relationship she has alluded to in her album. While there have been vague hints along the way, now she has dropped a huge bombshell about her ex-boyfriend that spurred her to create her album.
Welcome To Plathville Reveals Details About Moriah Plath’s Ex-Boyfriend
During the September 10 episode of Welcome To Plathville, the family discusses the bitter truth behind the sadness in Moriah Plath’s music. Although Season 6 has seemingly been themed around heartache and Moriah’s album release, now they are breaking down the reason she left. Fans know that September was a difficult month for Moriah, but now the Plaths are sharing details about the breakup including a bombshell about her ex-boyfriend.
‘Birthed’ Out Of The Pain
In the episode, Moriah Plath reiterates that her music was the vessel to carry her through the pain of her heartbreak. For instance, she wrote “September” to flush some of those feelings out of her system. Lyrics include, “Staring at my door, I was constantly left hanging.” Furthermore, the song says, “Waiting for a lot of promises that weren’t kept or broken. I couldn’t handle another day of waiting for somebody that I knew would never show up.” Admittedly, Moriah sees this song as the “one that will say the most about what happened,”
Additionally, she relived some pain from her ex, relating to “walking out of the trauma of that relationship.” Sadly, the stress even made her alopecia return. She says, “I’ve noticed heartbreak triggers my alopecia.” Further commenting, “It’s like an outward reflection of what is going on inside.” She confesses she has lost about half of her hair in just a few months.
Family Discusses The Breakup
Furthermore, the Welcome To Plathville episode shows several of the family members gathering together to stay at an Airbnb to collaborate with Moriah Plath on her music. Additionally, this was a perfect opportunity for the family to discuss Moriah’s relationship woes at the recording studio. Barry Plath talks about how much Moriah was struggling. He says, “Back in September was a whirlwind of emotions and stuff with Moriah in her life and many things being exposed and coming to light that just allowed her to reach a bottom point, a breaking point, with that relationship.”
Admittedly, Micah Plath thinks it was best he never met the guy and believes he was probably scared to meet her brothers. But says, “From what Moriah told me, it’s like he would come and go.” Then, Micah’s girlfriend, Veronica Peters adds, “There were times where he was outside of her apartment and was like, ‘Oh, you didn’t answer your phone quick enough, So I left.’ I don’t really think he was there. I think he was just doing that to make her feel bad.”
Moriah Plath’s Ex Influenced The Fight With Ethan And Olivia
Notably, Moriah Plath’s relationship started while Olivia and Ethan Plath were traveling in Europe. Seemingly, the timing coincides with the distance between Moriah, Ethan, and Olivia. She moved out of their place while they were traveling and then accused Olivia of stealing her music.
Additionally, Veronica discusses that Moriah told her the ex would cancel dates at the last minute after she had already gotten dressed up and ready to go. Further supporting Moriah, Veronica adds, “I don’t think he ever had the intent of going.” Additionally, she shares that Moriah began to spill more details to family and friends as she grew “more tired of” his actions. Veronica also points out how the ex wanted to keep everything private, even from the family. Interestingly, it was pointed out by the person that was hiding from cameras. Veronica also recalls, “He would lead her on to the point where, [Moriah said], ‘Oh, he’s going to do better. He promises.’” But Veronica recognizes they were excuses, “And she believed it. I was like, if he wanted to, he would.” She believed Moriah needed to find someone who would “cherish” her.
Ethan Plath Understands More About The Past
Ethan Plath realizes, “I found out that he was the one in Moriah’s ear pretty much keeping her from some of the family.” Furthermore, Ethan has more understanding of why Moriah was so emotionally unavailable while they were going through a falling out. Micah points out that Ethan moved away during that time and there was already a rift. But that left Moriah alone in Florida isolating her even more with the ex-boyfriend. Ethan shares, “But also that was why me and Moriah didn’t really have much of a relationship for a little bit because he was telling her not to.”
Moriah Plath Drops Bombshell About Ex
Admittedly, Barry Plath says he was even fooled by the ex. He spent three hours talking to the guy and thought he was “great.” Barry says, “I have never met a master deceiver like that before.” He confesses, “He had me believing he was a great guy.” Further adding, “Talk about scum of the earth.” Additionally, Moriah Plath said the family “did some digging” and discovered a huge bombshell.
In like fashion, Ethan Plath reveals the big bombshell, “At the very end, she found out that he actually had another girl that was either his girlfriend or his wife or whatever, but that he had a kid with this other woman.” In the confessional Ethan adds, “This guy was with another woman that he had a child with at the time and that’s probably why he couldn’t make his dates with Moriah.” Some fans had speculated this was the case, but it was aired during the latest episode.
After telling Moriah the harsh news, they encouraged her to “just leave.” Moriah explains, “They said ‘leave.’” Then, adds, “‘Just no answers needed. No questions asked. Just leave.’” But she regrets not asking him specific questions about the information that was discovered. Barry says, “The songs were ‘birthed’ out of the pain.”
Sunshine After The Rain
Moriah Plath reflects, “It’s a lot of pain,” she said. “But then you just like, ‘Oh well, I have no choice but to keep going.’” However, she shares, “At the time, I was so hurt.” From the sadness, she says, “I wrote this album in hopes of answering some of the questions that I’m trying to come to terms with having no answers to. You get to the other side, you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel and you’re like, ‘Oh, it does get better.’”
