What Is Love On The Danube: Royal Getaway About?
The new Hallmark+ movie is about love and romance with a royal twist on a riverboat cruise down the Danube River. Here is what this second movie in the trilogy is about. Art gallery manager Ava has made a very brave decision. Although she and her fiancé broke up, she is still taking the dream riverboat cruise that should have been her honeymoon trip. She sees no reason to waste the tickets and has dreamed of going for years.
On the boat, she meets Joe. She finds him gorgeous and quite intriguing. That is because she doesn’t know he is the Prince of Baldonia. He has secretly boarded the ship to find art for an upcoming charity auction. In addition, he needs to contemplate his future. Does he really want to become king? Most of all, he wants to keep his identity hidden. Therefore, he says nothing to Ava.
It doesn’t take long for Ava and Joe to bond over art. As they travel to Germany, Austria, and Hungary, they traverse the streets admiring and obtaining art from a cornucopia of palaces for this gala auction. Although she was dealing with issues of trust because of her painful breakup, Ava begins to learn to love again. Unbeknownst to her, Joe is carrying a very big secret that could destroy her heart.
Unfortunately, things quickly takes a turn. That happens when Ava and Joe end up on a tabloid cover. Ava never expected to be the target of royal paparazzi! “Despite her initial anger, Ava agrees to attend the gala. Joe stays true to himself by abdicating the throne to his younger brother, leaving him to focus on his romance with Ava and their pursuit to open a national gallery in Baldonia to showcase the country’s beautiful art.”
