‘Love After Lockup’ John Slater Back In Jail, Why?
Former Love After Lockup star John Slater is back behind bars but what was the cause of this arrest? Lacey Whitlow’s ex-husband, Shane Whitlow just turned himself in a few weeks back. Now, it is John’s turn in the spotlight. So, will he be released anytime soon? Keep reading for more details.
Love After Lockup John Slater Back In Jail, Why?
It has not been a good time for Lacey Whitlow’s exes. When she was on Love After Lockup, she was involved with John Slater and Shane Whitlow. Both men were locked up but she was still entertaining the idea of which one she wanted to be with. Ultimately, she chose Shane but John always lingered in the background. More so, Lacey would run back to him when she was struggling with Shane yet they ended up getting married and having a baby. By the end of Lacey and Shane’s run on the hit WeTV series, she was back with John.
Lacey and Shane struggled a lot, and he ended up going missing. She and John also had an up-and-down romance. It was unclear if they were together or on a break, but they tried. Recently, her ex-husband, Shane, ended up back behind bars for an incident that occurred with Lacey’s pet several years ago. Now, John is following in Shane’s footsteps by ending up in prison. He is no longer with Lacey as she erased all evidence of him though he still has pics of her on his social media. So, what was John’s crime?

According to @merrypants, John Slater violated his bail conditions. The Love After Lockup alum was arrested on August 6th, 2024 for two reasons. The first was his second conviction in two years and the next was possession. When he was released on bail, it was with conditions but he did violate those on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. Currently, he is listed as “unbondable.” John is also listed as “unmarried” and it occurred in Virginia Beach.

It was noted how awful he looked in his mugshot, how rough John had become. He was not a bad looking guy in the past but now, it was clear he had fallen on hard times. It was almost a scary photo of Lacey’s former lover.
