Maria Georgas Dragged Into Jenn Tran & Devin Strader Breakup
Bachelorette viewers watched Jenn Tran say goodbye to Marcus Shoberg on the season finale. She confessed to Jesse Palmer that she was going to propose to Devin Strader. It was the first time in the history of the franchise that the woman proposed. But Jesse Palmer pumped the breaks during the live special.
He revealed that Jenn and Devin ended their engagement last month. Jenn Tran took the hot seat to explain the split from her perspective. She revealed that her ex broke up with her during a phone call. Devin was then brought out to face the music.
While she was berating him for his behavior, Jenn dropped a major bombshell. “Ending the engagement on a phone call? The next day I wake up to you following girls on Instagram?! And not just any girl, but Maria?!ā
Maria Georgas was a contestant on Season 28 of The Bachelor. She was rumored to be offered the Bachelorette gig but turned it down, implying that Jenn was the show’s backup choice.
Devin admitted to following Maria on social media, saying there was “no excuse” for doing that, knowing it would hurt Jenn.

She Responds
Maria’s name came up earlier in the season as well. Sam McKinney told Jenn that he thought Maria or Daisy Kent was going to be The Bachelorette. Maria didn’t address Sam’s comments, but she did break her silence over the Devin drama.
She took to social media to reveal that she’d been on a trip and was surprised to come home to find her name all over the place. āThis was not something I wanted to come home to but I have some things to say and this time I will not be holding back,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.

Bachelor Nation fans suspect that Maria Georgas will go on a podcast to further address the Devin Strader situation. But fans were divided over whether her comments would support Jenn or Devin.
One fan wrote on Reddit, “Maria lives for drama and wants the attention directed towards her. None of this is surprising.” But another took up in Maria’s defense, “You guys really think she’s going to drag Jenn?? C’MON. Obviously, she has words about Devin.”
