‘DWTS’ Derek Hough Reveals Most-Desired Celebrity Contestants
Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough has seen a wide range of talent during his time on the show. With six Mirrorball Trophies, he currently holds the record as the pro dancer to win the most seasons. Now, he’s on the other side of the judges’ table and ready to be back in the ballroom.
The full Season 33 cast list comes out tomorrow morning on Good Morning America. Derek Hough already knows which competitors will take the floor this year. But that isn’t stopping him from putting together his wish list for future seasons.

Derek Hough Shares His Top Picks For DWTS
As a judge on Dancing With The Stars, it’s hard not to be a little bias toward competitors. Derek Hough isn’t spilling the beans on this year’s cast list yet. However, he is publicly acknowledging there are a few stars he wants to see compete in upcoming seasons.
In a new interview with Parade, Derek Hough would love to see actress Anya Taylor-Joy join the cast. The 28-year-old has been in major productions such as The Menu and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
“She’s a great actress but I’ve also heard that she’s a great dancer, too, so I would love to see her dance,” Derek shared. However, the actress is receiving bigger roles these days, so she may not have time to work DWTS into her schedule right this moment.

In recent months, Derek Hough has discussed his love for Canadian icon, Celine Dion. Naturally, he added her to his wish list.
“And I always talk about Celine Dion, because every time I see her, we end up dancing, and so I’d love to see her,” he added.
The DWTS Judge Asked For Stephen Nedoroscik To Join
In the interview, Derek shared he also wanted to see reality star Phaedra Parks join the cast. Interestingly enough, there have already been rumors she’s on this season.
“But, of course, in the reality star world, I was really into The Traitors this past year, I loved it because I love playing Mafia, it’s such a fun game. I thought Phaedra, she’s a character, I think she would be fantastic on the show,” Derek told Parade.
It’s entirely possible the Utah dancer could have his wish about Phaedra granted, because he also wished to have Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik on the show. The Bronze medalist was the first contestant confirmed to appear on Season 33.

“It’s so funny, I actually called it,” the DWTS judge added. “I saw Stephen on TV with the glasses and I texted Deena [Katz], the casting director, I said, ‘Deena, are you already making a call?’ She’s like, “I’m on it.” She was already ahead of the game. Of course, she’s incredible.”
