As news of her arrest begins to circle online, one media outlet also has photos of Amy receiving medical attention from paramedics. It’s not immediately clear what prompted the camel to bite, but the images reveal Amy in pain and distress.

Amy Slaton Receives A Nasty Bite From A Camel During A Family Outing
As the mother to two young boys, a trip to the zoo seems pretty routine for Amy Slaton. However, no one predicted the events that would play out as the family enjoyed their time with the animals.
According to TMZ, a camel bit Amy Slaton while the family enjoyed their day at a zoo in Tennessee. The TLC star wrapped the wound with a shirt as a bandage until the paramedics took her away on a stretcher. Witnesses saw Amy walking around the park with her arm wrapped up in the shirt before medical professionals arrived on the scene.

Although the camel bite was likely incredibly painful, Amy Slaton’s day continued to spiral afterward.
Authorities Soon Arrested The TLC Star On Drug Charges
When the police arrived on the scene, they found illegal substances in Amy’s car, prompting her arrest.
“Adding insult to injury, Amy ended up arrested after all this … because law enforcement tells us cops found psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in her car … and we’re told the drugs were in plain sight,” TMZ continues.
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department in Tennesse posted about the arrest on its Facebook page.
“Deputies were requested to respond to Safari Park where a guest allegedly was bitten by a camel. Upon arrival, deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle,” the department wrote. “Amy Slaton Halterman, 1,000-Lb. Sisters reality TV star, was arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.”
The post indicates that another person, Brian Scott Lovvorn, was also in the vehicle. He faces the same charges that Amy does. The department booked them into the Crockett County Jail. A subsequent post indicated that the judge set bail at $10,000 for each person.
