‘Teen Mom’ Catelynn Lowell Slams Carly’s Parents Online
Catelynn Baltierra (Lowell) has been vocal about how she doesn’t agree with the terms of the open adoption with her daughter Carly. The Teen Mom star recently took to social media to share her thoughts on the arrangement. Once again, she’s slamming Carly’s parents. Here is what she had to say.
Catelynn Wants Carly To See Her Side Of Things
There have been multiple instances where Tyler and Catelynn have spoken out about Carly‘s adoptive parents. In the comment section of a post on Instagram, Catelynn vented about the situation with Carly’s parents, Brandon and Theresa.
The Teen Mom star wrote, “One day Carly will be around to see our side and have all the facts from our side and make her choice… Whatever choice that is I will always support. But she also will see the texts and everything from over the years.”
She continued, “I will NEVER bash her parents. I will ONLY share the ways I have always tried etc and how many times I have been shut down.”
Catelynn went on to say that she wasn’t “talking trash,” she was just speaking the truth about the situation. Adoption can have a profound impact on the people involved. She pointed out, “It not only affects me, my husband, and the children we are raising but it also affects Carly.”
Teen Mom Fans Weigh In On The ‘Open’ Adoption
A Teen Mom fan account on Instagram shared a screenshot of Catelynn’s comment. Fans were eager to weigh in on the ongoing drama with Brandon and Theresa and Carly’s bio parents.
One person commented, “I think Brandon and Teresa only agreed to the “open” adoption because they wanted a baby badly. Once they figured out they didn’t actually have to abide by the agreement, it was over with.”
Another person pointed out that the adoption agreement wasn’t legally enforceable and, even if it was, the open adoption was only until Carly turned 5. After that, it was up to the parents as to whether or not Catelynn and Tyler would be able to see her.
They continued, “If C&T truly wanted a relationship with Carly, they’d quit being trashy reality TV/soft core p0rn stars, get degrees, real careers (like they said they were going to), and respect the privacy of B&T’s daughter.”
Other people suggested that Carly may not want to have a relationship with Tyler and Catelynn. After all, she’s only known Brandon and Theresa as her parents her entire life. Not to mention, there always seems to be some kind of drama when Catelynn finally shows up to see her.\
Carly is the oldest daughter of Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. The couple appeared on MTV’s Teen Mom when Catelynn was pregnant with Carly. Rather than become teen parents, they decided to give Carly up for adoption.
The terms of the adoption were to be “open” and allow Tyler and Catelynn to visit with their daughter from time to time. However, their visits have become less frequent and Catelynn blames Carly’s parents for that.
Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra have three other children, Novalee, 9, Vaeda, 5, and Rya, 3.
