Hallmark+ has announced a new drama series Ripple. This is an award-winning script from Michele Giannusa. What is this new series about?

What Is Hallmark+ Drama Ripple About?

Deadline has reported that Hallmark+ has ordered the new one-hour drama series Ripple. This new series “explores how unexpectedly connected we are as human beings. Set in New York City, Nate, Kris, Walter, and Aria have crossed paths hundreds of times, yet they’ve never met. Because of the seemingly minuscule decisions these core four make in the pilot, we’ll witness the ripple effect of how these strangers, all dealing with life’s challenges in their own way, are led to one another.”

Hallmark+ says, “the message of the show is: just wait for the rainbow. Some of the best things in life can’t happen without the norm. Ripple amplifies a message of hope and reassurance that no matter what challenges come your way, we are never alone.”

Production of this new series will start in September. Currently, none of the cast has been announced. In addition, there is no information on when it will premiere on the rebranded streaming service. It could be assumed that it will premiere sometime in 2025.

Ripple Creator Michele Giannusa Won Award

According to Drama Quarterly, Michele Giannusa won the C21’s Drama Series Script Competition 2017 with Ripple. She came up with this idea for a drama after she got divorced and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career. Giannusa took some of her own experiences and insights that being “hopeful” was something that came out of being with strangers. She sees this as a series about “friendships turning into family.”

In addition to this award, Giannusa also was part of NBCUniversal’s Writers on the Verge, as well as a finalist in competitions held by HBO, Disney/ABC, and Fox.
