‘Today’ Is Savannah Guthrie Leaving As Host?
There were a couple of faces missing from The Today Show this week as both Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb both missed the show on Monday. However, while Savannah was not on the show, she did post something on social media that might have explained her absence. She wanted to share a message of life’s “fleeting moments.”

Savannah Guthrie Looks At ‘Fleeting Moments’
Savannah Guthrie missed some time on The Today Show this week. She and Joda Kotb missed time on Monday, with Sheinelle Jones, Craig Melvin, and Dylan Dreyer hosting the show in their place. However, she checked in with her fans on social media.
Guthrie posted a montage of photos on Instagram. They were mostly of her family posing on a beach at a vacation resort. She then captioned the photo with the line, “Holding onto the last of summer.” This shouldn’t surprise long-time fans, as she takes off every summer to spend time with her kids during their summer vacation from school.
She even tagged one photo with a banner saying “Out Of Office.”
She also took time off from The Today Show earlier in August for her daughter’s 10th birthday party. “Ten years of this magical girl – my whole heart and soul. Happy birthday dearest Vale!” she wrote at that time on social media.

When Savannah Guthrie misses time on The Today Show, it always starts rumors that she might be leaving the show. This is how things go with many talk show hosts, as Michael Strahan fans have seen when he misses extended periods on Good Morning America.

However, Savannah Guthrie’s absences have been for very good reasons, and she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She missed time when she went to Paris to help cover the 2024 Summer Olympics. She then missed time for her kid’s birthday, and she is now making sure she shares some fleeting moments with her family for summer vacation.
If there is one thing that Savannah Guthrie prioritizes above anything, it is her family. This includes putting them before her work on The Today Show and her recent social media post about life’s fleeting moments shows how much she puts into making sure that her kids will have her as much as they need.
Savannah Guthrie will surely be back once her kids are back in school, and there is no need to worry about her absences.
