‘Jeopardy!’ Reveals Another Spinoff Game Show Is Coming
There is a Jeopardy! spinoff show coming to Prime Video. This is Pop Culture Jeopardy!. However, there was a recent call for a job that revealed there is a second spinoff coming. This second spinoff is not a new series, but is a reboot of an older Jeopardy! show.
Here is what you need to know about the upcoming new game show.
Jeopardy! Creating New Spinoff
The Pop Culture version of the game show is coming soon to Prime Video. This series will have Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Jost as the host. Meanwhile, Ken Jennings remains the host of the main show and the tournaments. However, a new spinoff ios coming based on a posted job offer.
The job offer (listed on Instagram) is calling for a “Supervising Producer, Contestant Recruitment & Development position with the link in bio.” In the post itself, it said there were three qualifications:
- Experienced in contestant recruitment
- Knowledgeable about TV show production
- Passionate about Jeopardy!
However, there was no other notation about the job other than the “link in bio.” However, when you click on the link, it takes you to the actual page to apply for the job, which is onsite in Culver City, California. The job is for all the shows, and in the description, there was one very interesting line.
“Spearhead Jeopardy!’s efforts to recruit the best players possible to take the Anytime Test and any future specific test (i.e. Pop Culture and Sports Jeopardy!)”
Pop Culture is coming to Prime Video, but this is the first time anything has been said about Sports Jeopardy! in many years.
The History Of Sports Jeopardy!
Unlike the Pop Culture version, which is brand new, the Sports version is actually a reboot. The last time this was on the air was in 2016. There were three seasons of Sports Jeopardy!, which aired for 52 episodes in its first two seasons and then 12 in its final season.

The show originally aired on Crackle in 2014, and former ESPN host Dan Patrick hosted it. It was identical to the original series, but it featured sports trivia instead of general knowledge trivia. It even had a similar Tournament of Champions, with $50,000 as the top prize. It wasn’t until Season 2 that winners could return and keep playing until they lost.
There were even three celebrity versions of the show. Two had personalities from Dan Patrick’s radio show, and another had NFL Network personalities. NBCSN acquired the show in 2016 and it aired during the 2016 Summer Olympics, but it never released another episode since December 7, 2016.
