‘AGT’ Howie Mandel Shocked At Heidi Klum’s Aggressive Move
America’s Got Talent has developed a reputation for anything happening over the years. This season alone saw the judges change the rules about the Golden Buzzer. They then had controversy when Simon Cowell touched Howie Mandel when hitting the buzzer. However, another judge just touched Howie, creating a very different experience.
Here is what Heidi Klum did that shook up Howie Mandel on this week’s live version of America’s Got Talent.
Heidi Klum Jumps Into Howie Mandel’s Lap On AGT
The moment between Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum happened during the live performance of Jelly Boy the Clown. This specific extreme performer freaked everyone out the last time he performed, and this time was no different.
This time, he had a huge set and started with the sword swallowing while being lowered to the stage with it in his mouth. He then ate a peanut butter sandwich and swallowed it. He then put the sword down his throat and pulled it out with the peanut butter on it.
Jelly was right next to the judges when he did this, and when he showed the peanut butter on the tip of the sword, it grossed out Heidi Klum. He jumped out of her seat and sat on Howie’s lap. She was disgusted at the stunt, but Howie was shrugging his shoulders about the supermodel sitting on his lap while glancing at the audience.
Simon gave him a standing ovation. This was impressive because Simon hates clowns, but he loved the extreme elements of the performance. When it came to Howie, he said that he saw Jello eat a peanut butter sandwich, and the next thing he knew, Heidi was sitting on his lap.
Heidi apologized, but Howie said not to because he had never had that much fun on the show in his life.
Howie Mandel Talks His Love Of America’s Got Talent
After the show, someone asked Howie Mandel about the incident, and he said that he “didn’t want to talk through it.” He said that he is a happily married man. He then changed that to, “I hope I’m still a happily married man because it was done on national TV.”
Of course, it was all in good fun, and Howie’s wife, Terry Soil, surely knows how to expect silliness like this from her comedian husband. They met when they were children and attended high school together. They have been married since 1980 and have three children together.
As for America’s Got Talent, Howie said, “I didn’t initiate it,” and pointed out that a “beautiful woman was on his lap.” He then finished with, “What a great job. I loved this job.”
