Gordon Ramsay Documentary Series Coming To Netflix
Gordon Ramsay is on TV and the Internet often, but many fans don’t know much about his true life story. That is all about to change. Netflix has signed Ramsay to a multi-million dollar deal to create a documentary about the celebrity chef’s life. The documentary promises a unique behind-the-scenes look at Ramsay in action.
Here is what you need to know about the documentary that will take viewers behind the scenes and into the life of one of the world’s most famous celebrity chefs.
Gordon Ramsay Inks New Netflix Deal
Gordon Ramsay has signed a deal with Netflix that will pay him millions in exchange for starring in a documentary for the streaming giant. The documentary will do one of two things. It will take viewers behind the curtain into Ramsay’s life story. It will also follow him as he sets out to open a new business in London.
The documentary is supposed to show how Ramsay lives as a loyal family man and a celebrity chef. During the filming, he will open a business in Bishopsgate, East London. “Gordon isn’t exactly a shy and retiring type so this will be a no-holds-barred, warts ’n’ all series,” a source said (via U.S. Sun).
The series will feature many of his more colorful language outbursts, but it will also show him around his wife and kids in a more subdued manner. While Ramsay is one to drop F-bombs at the drop of a hat, that is not who he is at home. However, his wife and kids are said to appear mostly in “cameos.”
Instead, the show will look at Ramsay as he opens his own business. Most of Ramsay’s reality TV show life has been about other people’s businesses. This will let fans see him doing things his own way.
Gordon Ramsay Documentary To Be Similar To Other Recent Docs
The source said that fans will see a new side of Gordon Ramsay. They also said thanks to hit shows like The Bear on Hulu, there is a new demand for these restaurant-based shows.
The documentary is supposed to be similar to recent releases about David Beckham, Robbie Williams, and Tyson Fury. Of course, Beckham is a soccer star, Fury is a boxer, and Williams is a singer. Ramsay offers something different from all of those, but they all feature subjects with a lot of pride and determination.
The working title is Being Gordon. There is hope that the show will give Ramsay, who is huge in America, the U.K., and Australia, new exposure in Asian countries. Netflix will make the official announcement later in August.
