‘Love After Lockup’ Shane Whitlow Back In Jail, Why?
Love After Lockup star Shane Whitlow is back behind bars once again but what is the reason? He had claimed that he was turning his life around after a series of not-so-great events. Yet, it is clear he has not learned his lesson whatsoever. So, what exactly has Shane done now? Keep reading for more details.
Love After Lockup’ Shane Whitlow Back In Jail, Why?
Viewers first met Shane Whitlow on Love After Lockup when he was in jail for malicious wounding. He had spent four years behind bars and had started dating Lacey Whitlow. Yet, she was also involved with John Slater and was trying to figure out which man was best suited for her. Ultimately, she settled on Shane and they ended up having a baby girl together. Additionally, they tied the knot but there was always a part of her that could not quit John. Eventually, Lacey and Shane could not come to a happy place so they parted ways and she ended up back with John.
That has been on and off for quite some time though he has been in and out of jail, as well. During all of this, Shane went missing and Lacey sent out a social media SOS to help find him. He was found and maintained that he was working on all aspects of his life. Sadly, it seems things did not go the way he thought they would as is now back behind bars. According to Kiki and Kibbitz, Shane turned himself in on Friday, August 16th.

However, this is not a new charge but rather from 2021. Back then, the Love After Lockup star allegedly hurt Lacey Whitlow’s pet so badly, it died. So, that has resurfaced and now he must deal with it all over again. He has not been overly active on social media since 2022 but Shane does have an OnlyFans and is a certified personal trainer. Therefore, turning himself in may be a step to fixing all of the bad in his past.
Fans Shocked?
After Love After Lockup fans saw that he had turned himself in, were they shocked at all, or did they think he was back to his old ways? Many had no idea that this was from 2021 so they just assumed he killed another animal:
- He was recently sentenced on the animal cruelty charge. This is probably him booking in to serve his time on it, which i believe was about 2-3 mos.
- his is the same type of guy that then scratches his head wondering why he doesn’t have 50/50 custody or any time with his daughter.

So, no one would have been surprised if this were to have been a new charge. Hopefully, if he does have to serve time, this will be the last time and he will go about his life. Time will tell if he can truly stay out of trouble.
