After Matthew Perry’s death, police have arrested and charged five people with various crimes leading to the overdose. This includes Perry’s assistant, a close acquaintance, two doctors, and someone known as the Ketamine Queen. That last person is an alleged drug dealer, and here is everything known about this mysterious suspect.
Who Is The Ketamine Queen Charged In Matthew Perry’s Death?
The suspect known as the Ketamine Queen in Matthew Perry’s death is Jasveen Sangha. She is an American-British dual national. When she appeared for her hearing, she wore a Nirvana sweatshirt and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
However, the authorities believe Sangha has been supplying ketamine from her “stash house” since at least 2019 (via BBC). When the police searched her home, they allegedly found more than 80 vials of ketamine there. Additionally, there were thousands of pills, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and Xanax.
Even more interesting is a recent TMZ report that the Ketamine Queen is a “big mafia fan.” She reportedly created her own website, paying tribute to the history of organized crime. She wrote on the site that she fell in love with the mafia thanks to movies like Scarface and The Godfather.
The website has the following sections: “Mafia Mug Shots,” “Famous Mafia Faces,” “Cities of Mafia Families,” “Mafia History,” and “Favorite Mafia Movies.” Now, it seems like the charges ensure Sangha might fit in as part of the lifestyle she always remained so interested in.
What Is The Ketamine Queen Charged With?
The Ketamine Queen, Jasveen Sangha, is charged with nine counts. These include conspiracy to distribute ketamine and distribution of ketamine resulting in death. She is one of five people charged with exploiting Perry’s drug addiction for profit, leading to his overdose death.

The US officials denied bail for Sangha, and she will remain in custody until her trial in October. The indictment against her alleges that she distributed the ketamine on October 24, 2023, that killed Perry. According to Erik Fleming, who has pleaded guilty to helping facilitate the alleged drug transaction, she “only deal[s] with high-end and celebs.”
According to the indictments, Dr. Salvador Plasencia learned that Matthew Perry wanted more ketamine and worked with a fellow doctor named Dr. Mark Chavez to get it. Plasencia then reportedly taught Perry’s assistant how to administer it by doing it to Matthew himself. After this, Sangha became involved and helped provide more.
Chavez, Fleming, and Perry’s assistant already accepted guilty pleas in their cases. Plasencia and Sangha face stiffer charges. If convicted of all charges, Sangha faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison with a statutory maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
