In the latest episode of Welcome To Plathville, Kim Plath reflects on Moriah Plath returning home after a major breakup. Undeniably, both Kim and Moriah have changed over the past few years. Moriah can identify more with her mom than she seemingly ever has before. When Moriah visits her mom in her new houseboat, she correlates that she and her mom are more alike than she once realized.
Moriah says, “My mom and I are very similar, we both get very determined to do something and sometimes it’s not the best decision.” She pauses and corrects, “I’m not saying mom’s boat was a bad decision, but, like I have an idea that’s amazing and I do it. And everyone else is standing around shaking their head.” But Kim talks about how much better Moriah is handling her most recent breakup while Moriah is on the boat.
