Will Bryan Craig Return To ‘General Hospital’ Again?
Bryan Craig made his long-awaited return to General Hospital recently but only for one episode. Fans of the show didn’t expect him to stick around for long since his character, Morgan Corinthos, died in a car bomb in 2016. The actor returned in 2018 to appear as a ghost to ex-lover Ava Jerome. Would he come back in the future if the show decided to bring Morgan back to life?
Bryan Craig Talks Difficulty With Bipolar Storyline
Morgan Corinthos returned from the great beyond as a figment of Sonny’s mind. Maurice Benard has been open with fans about how difficult the bipolar storyline is on his mental health, especially the emotional rooftop scenes where Sonny considered suicide.
He actually took a previously unannounced hiatus but faced an ultimatum from the soap that forced him to return whether he was ready to or not.
As fans know, Morgan Corinthos was diagnosed with bipolar as well. Bryan Craig admitted on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind podcast that he wasn’t prepared for the heavy material.
“When they gave us the bipolar storyline, for me, it was the first in my acting career, the first big responsibility that I had.”
But he had the Emmy-winning Maurice Benard in his corner.
“A lot of people just didn’t quite believe in Bryan’s talent like I thought they should. He was like a young Brad Pitt… that kind of actor.”
Is General Hospital Resurrecting Morgan Corinthos?
General Hospital shared a photo of Bryan Craig and Maurice Benard on the show’s official Instagram. Fans flooded the comments with pleas to bring Morgan back from the dead.
- Oh I wish Morgan was back for good! They never did find a body.He could have been somewhere for a long time, and he just got his memories back. Just saying.
- I was thrilled to see Morgan on GH again…although always hopeful that he wasn’t in the car explosion that killed him and he would come back again one day.

It seems that if the show did decide to resurrect Morgan, a lot of fans would be on board. What about the actor? He was more than happy to reprise the role for one episode but didn’t really say if he would be willing to come back full-time. However, he did say it was surprising the show hadn’t recast the role.

It would be nice but I’m still waiting for the other ones to arrive as well. I’m wondering who the article is referring to about taking a break but the show gave him an ultimatum.. if it was Maurice Bernard which was implied by saying Sonny (hello, writer), that was cruel to GH due to the storyline that shouldn’t have happened with someone who has bipolar in real life to begin with!!!! IT obviously took more of a toll on Maurice than expected so don’t let it happen again! Maurice was professional, the writers were cold to do that to him. God bless you, Maurice and everyone else dealing with any and all mental issues.
