Clues Something About Her In Major Trouble
Are there some clues that Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix’s sandwich shop, Something About Her is in major trouble? The Vanderpump Rules stars opened the shop in May 2024 and have had lines around the block. Yet, is this just a fleeting success that is now coming crumbling down on them? Clues Something About Her In Major Trouble
Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix came together in Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules to start a sandwich shop. It was Katie’s idea which she had wanted for a very long time and Ariana was ready to hop on board. Then, they teamed up and worked very hard in an attempt to open Something About Her. They did two soft openings with their co-stars and it felt like opening day would never come. Finally, in May 2024, Katie and Ariana had their grand opening. One of the people who had joined the crew was Tom Sandoval’s former assistant, Ann Maddox.
She really loved Ariana and had known her before ‘Scandoval’ went down. While working as Sandoval’s assistant, she was ready to leave and interviewed to work for Ariana. That was too close for comfort but, when they needed someone for Something About Her, it was a no-brainer. Ann came to work there and when it was finally open, she was posing with guests and everyone was thrilled to see her. Unfortunately, it looks like things have taken a turn between Ann, Katie, and Ariana.

According to The Sun, Ann Maddox’s hours have been cut at Something About Her. She shared this information on her Instagram story and encouraged followers to vote for her podcast, We Signed An NDA. Ann explained she needed the pod “to succeed” and then wrote why:
“Well my hours got cut at the shop so I have no choice but to have this succeed. Please vote for my podcast so that we can get host read ads and pay my rent thank you!
After learning that her hours were cut, that led followers to question if the shop was in trouble.
The Struggle Is Real
Immediately, Vanderpump Rules fans wondered what was going on with Something About Her and if cutting Ann’s hours meant more:
- Is SAH shutting down or something?! Why would her hours get cut?
- This doesn’t feel like something someone who is on spectacular terms with their employer would say publicly
- It’s pretty lame when they took care of her. Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes but if this isn’t a last resort it’s extremely odd to call out your employer
- She doesn’t seem to realize posting this will potentially burn a bridge as it’s making SAH look bad
Ultimately, the shop may be doing fine, but Ann may be the problem. No one knows what is going on behind closed doors but SAH has come under fire for how little they pay. They had placed an ad for help with the starting pay being $21/hour. Though that is not horrible, for West Hollywood, it was deemed unlivable. At the same time, it was a part-time position so applicants had to remain mindful of that.
