‘Yellowstone’ Final Episodes: What You Need To Know
Yellowstone returns later this year for its final episodes. However, fans know that these final episodes will be very different from what came before. This is because Kevin Costner has left the show. His character is still an important part of the show, and it will have to explain his disappearance as the final episodes start to air.
Here is what we know about the final episodes of Yellowstone.
What Happened In The Last Yellowstone Episodes
Before heading into the final Yellowstone episodes, it is important to remember what happened in the last episodes to air before the long break. Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) went to battle against his dad, John Dutton (Costner), and sister, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly). This started a civil war within the family.
The big question was whether Jamie might kill Beth or whether John would kill Jamie. However, with Kevin Costner leaving, the story has to change, and there is a chance that John Dutton will die.
Shooting the final episodes ended up being delayed. It started with Costner saying there was no script ready to go, and he couldn’t keep sitting around and waiting. As a result, he began working on his massive Western epic, Horizon, and when the scripts finally started showing up, it was too late, and he couldn’t shoot anymore.
Costner said he agreed to come in for a few days to help shoot scenes and write out John Dutton. However, it seems showrunner Taylor Sheridan saw that as an insult and rejected the idea. As a result, something will be done to write out John Dutton without the character appearing.
What Will Happen On The Final Yellowstone Episodes?
Yellowstone finally got a release date. It will premiere on Paramount+ on November 10, 2024. The scripts are all completed, and filming is underway. There is only three more months to wait for the start of the final episodes.
There was also news that the Yellowstone premiere would be highly emotional. Costner has been very open about his desire to return if possible. However, he was also blunt about Sheridan’s unwillingness to work with him on it. He also said that many cast members are not speaking to him anymore. It seems they made him the bad guy in the situation.
Interestingly, despite a release date, there is no word on how many episodes are in the final batch of the last season. The best news is that the final episodes aren’t the story’s end. There will be a sequel series called The Madison, and it will be the first spinoff taking place after Yellowstone’s story ends.
