‘GMA’ Is Michael Strahan Getting Married?
Michael Strahan returned to Good Morning America this week. Upon his return, the former NFL player’s co-hosts seemed to hint at wedding bells in Michael’s future. So, is he getting married? Here’s what was revealed on the morning talk show.
GMA Michael & George Exchange Jabs At Each Other
George Stephanopolous and Michael Strahan have a great relationship on and off-screen. When the two of them are around each other, there are sure to be jokes and a bit of good-natured teasing.
The pair were going back and forth on Wednesday. Michael asked George what Olympic sport he’d earn a medal in. Linsey Davis, who was filling in for Robin Roberts, joked that it would be breakdancing.
Later on, Michael Strahan joked that his co-anchor needed to “get in one of those swimsuits” when discussing the Olympic synchronized swimming event. “Don’t hold your breath, James,” George said, speaking to James Alongman, who was reporting live from Pairs. Michael laughed, “Oh George, one day I’m gonna get ya!”
Jab after jab came from Michael, but George was able to get one in too. His joke had everyone at the GMA studio laughing. They were discussing the culture segment, which had to do with a new wedding trend. Some people in America have started charging entry fees to their weddings.
Did George Hint At Michael Strahan Getting Married?
Before they even got started, George teased Michael Strahan. He said, “Michael is paying close attention to our next story. It’s our GMA cover story on how couples are cutting costs on their wedding by selling tickets to the wedding.”
Everyone in the studio broke out into laughter as the segment started. George handed it over to Erielle Reshef, who was also laughing. “I’m staying out of that one, I don’t know what that is!” she remarked.
Was George just teasing Michael Strahan or could he be walking down the aisle soon? It wouldn’t be the first time the GMA anchor took the plunge. He has been married twice before.
He was first married to Wanda Hutchins from 1992 to 1996. The pair has two children together, Tanita and Michael Jr. He was married to his second wife, Jean Muggli, from 1999 to 2007. They had twin daughters, Sophia and Isabella Strahan, in 2004.
For the last eight years, Michael Strahan has been dating Kayla Quick. She has joined him on family vacations and was even seen by Isabella’s bedside when she was going through cancer treatment over the last year. So, it’s safe to say that things are serious between the two.
Will Michael Strahan be getting married any time soon? That is yet to be seen, but one thing is for sure. George Stephanopolous will not be paying to attend.
