Donnie Wahlberg Teases Possible ‘Blue Bloods’ Future
Donnie Wahlberg has made it clear he isn’t happy Blue Bloods is ending. The actor has openly admitted how much he loves being on the show, and he fought to keep it alive. However, the upcoming season marks the end of the series. With that said Donnie has made it clear that he wants to see more in the future.
Here is what Donnie said that has some fans keeping hope alive.
Donnie Wahlberg Hints At Blue Bloods Future
Donnie Wahlberg was at a New Kids on the Block concert in July. While there, he made some comments about Blue Bloods to the fans in attendance. What he said ended up being shared online, and it has many fans excited about the possibilities.
Donnie took some time out of singing to talk about Blue Bloods. He told the audience, “We filmed the apparent last season of Blue Bloods, and it’ll air starting in October. Maybe there’ll be something else after that.” That got fans excited, and then he said, “I don’t know anything officially yet, but there are things in the works. So maybe something awesome will happen.”
As the crowd cheered, Donnie followed up by saying that no matter what happens with the show, he will keep doing things “no matter what.”
What The Cast Has Said About Blue Bloods Ending
This isn’t the first time that Donnie Wahlberg has talked about his disappointment in Blue Bloods ending. He previously said that four years ago, the cast thought it would end for different reasons (COVID-19). However, he noted they persevered and kept making the show.

“God willing we’ll get some more time together to do something magical again,” Donnie said. “I would just be honored to work with any of you again and I pray that that can happen, one way or another, I won’t give up trying.”
Tom Selleck has also been very vocal about the show’s ending. He has repeatedly pointed out that it is still one of the most-watched shows on television on its night of the week, and he is confused at why the network is canceling a popular show that fans supported.
“I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses,” Tom said. We’re the third-highest show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. I think everybody’s really upset and sad.”
What are your thoughts on Donnie Wahlberg holding out hope that Blue Bloods could continue in some manner? Do you think it is wishful thinking and the show is just ending? I think CBS has lost its mind. I love this show and all the characters! I’ve been a fan since it began. All of us do not want more sitcoms or reality tv! Maybe another station will carry on the Blue Bloods Dynasty! I do not like the decisions CBS has been making recently! Boo CBS!
