Did Jessica Simpson Start Boozing Again?

A Jessica Simpson follower recently accused the singer of taking up booze again. Nick Lachey’s ex recently took to social media to clear the air. So, what did the singer have to say about this recent boozing accusation?

Jessica Simpson Went Down A Dark Path With Alcohol

As anyone who has ever struggled with addiction knows, it can grab a hold of anyone if you let it in and let it become part of your life. Whether it’s someone working a 9 to 5, or, in Jessica Simpson’s case, a celeb in the spotlight, addictions like drinking alcohol can creep up on you, and before you know it, you won’t recognize yourself.

This is exactly the sort of path that the pop singer found herself on. She made the decision to get sober in 2017. However, just because you get sober, it doesn’t always mean you stay sober. Once you put the bottle down, it becomes an everyday struggle not to pick it up again, and some fans think Simpson may have gone back to the booze.

Pop Singer Did Not Recognize Herself

As often happens when you turn to the bottle or any other vice that goes unchecked for too long, Jessica Simpson was candid and open about her struggle. Many people might think that someone in the spotlight like her, because she has everything she needs, would not fall into this sort of addiction trap. However, as this proves, anyone can fall off the path if they are not careful.

Reflecting on how she used to be when the drink had her in its snare, Simpson said: “This person in the early morning of Nov 1, 2017 is an unrecognizable version of myself. I had so much self-discovery to unlock and explore. I knew in this very moment I would allow myself to take back my light, show victory over my internal battle of self-respect, and brave this world with piercing clarity.”
