Ethan Plath and his family love music and the Welcome to Pathville clan used to sing together, often in churches. Well, they no longer seem to do that, but Moriah, Lydia, and their older brother still enjoy making their music. When the TLC show revealed the three siblings singing recently, some fans compared Ethan to a famous Country Music legend.
Ethan Plath Is Depressed, Finds Peace With Music?
Welcome to Plathville fans are not overwhelmed with passion for any of the music produced by the Plath family. But, in the case of Olivia’s ex, if it helps him to find an outlet for his depression, TLC fans don’t hold it against him. Since he and Olivia split, he’s been heartbroken and crushed. And, the advice from his dad, Barry Plath, isn’t about getting some counseling.
Unlike his sisters, Moriah and Lydia, Ethan Plath isn’t releasing music. At least, not yet. And, a lot of people hope it stays that way. In fact, for some time, fans of the TLC show begged them to stop trying. If they are so bad at creating and singing their songs, Welcome to Plathville fans might wonder how Ethan got compared to a Country Music legend.
Country Music Legend Comparison
TLC often shows the Plath family singing, and when Ethan joined his sisters, not everyone wanted in on the fun. Micah and Isaac left, and fans were convinced it was because they knew how cringe it all seemed. On Reddit, an OP mocked Ethan, but others decided he had legend potential.
The OP seemed to mock Ethan Plath’s lyrics, and they said sarcastically:
Amazing musicality from Ethan.
I mean, it’s not easy to rhyme “face” with “face”. Hats off to him.
The lyrics said, “Well you know the pain that man can face, You can see the sorrow in my face.” Other TLC fans mocked the musical abilities of the entire family, including Ethan. However, kinder people felt that the Welcome to Plathville star had great potential. So, they compared him to a Country Music Legend. And, it was none other than Johnny Cash. Here are their comments:
- he has a Johnny Cash sound, and much better (sic) than the girls.
- Ethan has a really good singing voice. It’s very old/classic country and blues…Anyway, his voice is really nice. Classic country.

- The other girls are not good at singing but Ethan is all much better.
