Simone Biles’ Mom Tells Snoop Dogg He Snubbed Her Daughter
Simone Biles just helped Team USA win a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Thanks to her return and success, Simone’s mother, Nellie Biles, has gotten some TV time lately. At the Opening Ceremony, Nellie was on NBC talking about her daughter, and she had a surprising bit of news for Snoop Dogg.
Here is what Nellie Biles said to Snoop Dogg about snubbing her daughter.
Simone Biles’ Mother Shades Snoop Dogg
Simone Biles’ mother, Nellie, was at the Opening Ceremony, and she got some TV time on NBC, which is airing much of the Olympics this year. Hoda Kotb of Today and Snoop Dogg were also appearing on the show. Things got awkward when Nellie looked at Snoop and said he had met Simone years before and probably didn’t even remember.
“Snoop, I don’t know you if you know this but Simone and you have known each other for a long time, right, Nellie?” Hoda said as she led into the big reveal for Nellie. Snoop Dogg looked a little confused and asked how he had met Simone before.
“I remember ― I will never forget ― that we met you in Times Square in 2010 and you said ― cause we asked for a picture ― and you said ‘2 minutes, 1-2’ and you were gone,” Nellie said.
Snoop mostly laughed off the moment and then Hoda moved on to ask where Simone was during the Opening Ceremony celebration. Nellie was she was resting and preparing for the Olympic Games.

Biles teamed with United States teammates Sunisa Lee, Jordan Chiles, and Jade Carey in the women’s gymnastics team finals. When she finished her last routine, the scoreboard flashed 14.666, which gave the United States the gold medal in team gymnastics.
This beat silver medalists Italy by six points, and it was seven points higher than bronze medalists Brazil. This is the fourth time the United States women have won the gold, but the first time since 2016. Simone Biles pulled out of the Summer Olympics in 2020. The U.S. team finished with the silver that year.
Biles injured her left calf on Sunday and had a therapy session before the event. She came into the finals with her calf heavily taped, but it didn’t slow her down. She hit a sky-high Cheng in the vault for a team-leading 14.90.
This gave Biles her eighth overall medal and her fifth gold medal in three appearances. She is now the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history.
