Chrissy Teigen recently enjoyed time in Paris with her husband, John Legend, taking in the 2024 Olympics. However, the model and mother recently got a ton of backlash over her choice of outfit. What did she have to say about it following the harsh criticism?
Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Took In The Sights In Paris
The world is watching as the best athletes in the world compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Pride, dedication, hard work, and potentially career-making things are at stake depending on how these athletes do, and these athletes are making the most of their time in the spotlight.
However, when you’re a celebrity power couple the way that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are, you can afford to take in the spectacle in person, and not just from your living room. That’s exactly what the duo did, as they rubbed elbows with other famous celebs and watched the best athletes in the world put it all on the line.
Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Look Sharp During Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of every Olympics is always a big deal. It’s a chance for the host country to pull out all of the stops and really put on a show. One of the biggest things that people are still talking about is metal band Gojira playing from different parts of Conciergerie Palace.
Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend were on hand to witness the memorable opening ceremony, and they were certainly dressed for the occasion.
Along with sharing a pic of her and her husband at the games with her many followers, Teigen wrote: “opening ceremonies! sure it was a little (a lot) rainy but wowowowowow absolutely epic experience (and got to see a few of my favorite people!).”

Followers Roast Teigen’s Outfit, Model Claps Back
Even though this was a feel-good update from Teigen, that did not stop people online from roasting her choice of outfit. Teigen wore a green number, a cardigan with matching micro shorts. This went along with her husband’s more formal look, with a black suit jacket and matching trousers.
However, Chrissy got a lot of flak for her style choice, with many comparing the look to a “diaper.”
- One commenter said of the outfit: “Mommy wears less clothing than the kids. How is your husband not embarrassed by this?”
- A second person piled on, saying: “Someone forgot to put on pants.”
Teigen largely left the bulk of these negative comments without a response, but, for one comment, in particular, she said: “thanks for sharing!”
This was clearly meant in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Either way, while there are a lot of hateful comments, others praised her, especially for showing off her trademark long legs in all of their glory. Others also said that, in a city like Paris, you can get away with wearing things like this.
At the end of the day, Chrissy Teigen was comfortable enough in her own skin to pull off a look like this, and she seemed to enjoy herself with her family while taking in the 2024 Olympics.
