Following his bad reaction to the substance, Amber Johnston and Trent Johnston had Jonah move back home. This made things harder on the oldest son initially, but, with a little tough love from Amber and Trent, Jonah was able to turn his life around for the better, and viewers love to see it.

Jonah Johnston is a completely different person these days, as 7 Little Johnstons fans saw in Season 14 scenes. He has a healthy relationship with his girlfriend, Ashley, and he appears to be back on the right track financially as well.
In addition to all of those things, Jonah Johnston even found better strategies to help him cope when he finds himself getting overwhelmed. He has turned to barbecue, as smoking meats gives him a sense of peace and calm. As a bonus, and as his family can confirm, he has gotten pretty good at it, too.

With Jonah Johnston and his girlfriend still going strong, many 7 Little Johnstons fans wonder about them taking things to the next level. Based on a recent clue from Emma Johnston, there may be an engagement announcement coming sooner than anyone might think.
Emma and Ashley got even closer during the recent family trip to Puerto Rico. Most recently, Emma shared an update with Ashley and baby Leighton Bolden, writing the caption: “Look who’s back… my other sister.”
Emma calling Ashley her “other sister” makes it seem like Jonah already popped the question. This certainly got the rumor mill rolling among 7 Little Johnstons fans, and viewers had a lot to say, with many already thinking about how Amber Johnston and Trent Johnston would spread out this potential engagement for the sake of content.
