Kyle and Mauricio have several things to settle before they officially divorce. And now, financial problems are in the mix. How will they work through this situation moving forward? Will they be able to put aside their differences and hurt feelings to solve this issue?
Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Are Dealing With A Tax Lien
For years, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have been a power couple in the Real Housewives universe. When they announced their split, many fans hoped they would work things out.
However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Mauricio Umansky moved out of the couple’s home and seems to have moved on with a new woman. Meanwhile, Kyle removed the word “wife” from her Instagram bio.
The marriage seems to be over now, but the pair will still have to deal with one another amid mounting financial issues.
According to The Daily Mail, the Franchise Tax Board in California “issued a tax lien to the exes on June 25, 2024, for owing $6,542.50 in taxes for the year 2022.”
“The tax lien included the address of the former couple’s marital home – their seven bedroom, eight bath mansion in Encino, which they purchased in 2017 for $8.2 million,” the publication writes.
Right now, it’s not immediately clear how the exes intend to handle this financial setback. But The Daily Mail also shares that this isn’t their first time with liens. From 2020-2023, the pair received several thousand dollars in liens to pay off.

However, the pair managed that debt together during their marriage. Now that Kyle and Mauricio are divorcing, the situation is a little bit more complex.
Kathy Hilton Encourages Her Sister To Move On With Her Life
Since Mauricio Umansky appears to have a new lady, Kathy Hilton has been encouraging Kyle to play the field as well. However, it seems like the RHOBH star might not quite be ready to put herself out there yet.
“I think it will take a while,” Kathy shared with Us Weekly in a recent interview. “You know, I think right now her daughters are the most important thing. She’s working so much that it’s hard to get out there and, you know, after working all day, you’re kind of tired.”
