Trista Sutter Recalls ‘Fearful’ Early Labor With Son Max
Trista Rehn Sutter was the first Bachelorette and she just shouted out her son, Max, and her husband of over 20 years, Colorado firefighter Ryan Sutter. Considered a successful union in Bachelor Nation, the couple who tied the knot on ABC have two kids. Now, she is remembering the night Max was born and sharing how much her family means to her. ABC Stars Trista Sutter & Ryan Faced Some Struggles
Blakesley and her older brother Max have a sensible mom who isn’t afraid to talk about hard things. But, she learned over the years that being a good listener also helps. Trista and Ryan Sutter have a very successful marriage. However, while the former ABC star has a sweet family, she and Ryan have been through some difficult times.
Trista Sutter often gives updates on Ryan Sutter’s illness. Lyme disease isn’t easy to diagnose and for a long time, the Bachelorette stars didn’t know what was wrong. Even now, in 2024, he still isn’t at his peak health and fitness level. Things aren’t always easy but they still have many things that can be celebrated, like the fact that doctors incorrectly thought in 2020 that her husband might have had lymphoma. And of course, they often celebrate their kids.

Bachelorette Alum Shouts Out Max & Ryan
On Friday this week, the former Bachelorette took to her Instagram Stories and shouted out both her husband, Ryan Sutter, and her son, Max. In her long caption, she wrote:
This time 17 years ago, I was sleeping in a hospital room with a monitor on my belly and an IV in my arm. I was only 36 weeks pregnant and was a complete and utter nervous wreck. Crazy to think back on that night and all the emotions coursing through me. Fearful it was too early, anxious to meet the tiny human that I’d been growing inside of me…
Trista Sutter hoped that the medical professionals would safely deliver her child. Of course, she also hoped that she’d be “a good mom.” Baby Max was safely delivered and now he’s 17 years old. According to his mom, it has been “the best 17 years” of her life. Shouting out Ryan Sutter, she’s happy that they fell in love and “have been blessed with a family from that love.”
The former Bachelorette also promised Max that she’d be posting about his “birthday soon.”
