Hoda Kotb Meets Man Of Her Dreams While Covering Olympics
The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway. As viewers all over the world watch the games from home, journalists like Hoda Kotb and other members of the Today team are covering the events in person.
During the opening ceremonies last night, fans saw many stunning sights. From a magically artistic parade down the Seine River to Celine Dion’s grand return to the stage, there were dozens of memorable moments.
But for Hoda Kotb, meeting the man of her dreams will forever be etched in her memory.
Hoda Kotb Rubs Elbows With Celebrities During The Olympic Games
So far, Hoda Kotb is having a blast in Paris. On her Instagram page, she keeps fans updated about the latest happenings. She even revealed that she and Snoop Dog had a chance to Facetime gymnast Simone Biles.
But of course, one of the best surprises yet was meeting one of her favorite actors.
“Do you know when you dream of meeting Tom Cruise… And then it finally happens,” the Today anchor shared on Instagram. She attached a photo of herself beaming while posing next to the actor in the pouring rain.

“Icons only 👏” her costar Savannah Guthrie replied in the comments.
“In your dream were you wearing a poncho?” Jenna Bush Hager chimed in.
Hoda’s other Instagram followers left fun comments including:
- “I had to do a double take- am I really seeing who I think I’m seeing?!?! Love the pure excitement on your face!! Even with dripping hair he looks good!”
- “Hoda you are the cutest person ever!!”
- “Hoda, you’re a ray of sunshine ☀️!!”
The Today Anchor Also Misses Her Daughters
While Hoda is thrilled to be the party of history at the Paris games, she can’t help but feel a little homesick too. As TV Shows Ace previously noted, the Today anchor planned to keep in touch with her young daughters, Haley and Hope, until she could return home.
During a recent segment on Today, Hoda shared that she and the girls were making a “Love You Loops” chain.
“I do a loop a day where we hide a little something like stickers or hair ties, and then they know how many days are left,” she shared. And without a doubt, she will return home with plenty of souvenirs for her daughters. The story about Tom Cruise will be fun to share as well.
