Former RHONJ star Joe Giudice was known on the Bravo show for his temper. He got into several fights with brother-in-law Joe Gorga on the reality show. Now he’s ready to fight a vet of the ABC soap General Hospital. Keep reading to find out why.

Joe Giudice famously went to prison in 2016 for bankruptcy fraud and other money crimes. Along with his then-wife, Teresa, he pled guilty to the crimes in 2014. However, they came to an agreement with officials that she would serve her term first so one parent could stay with their four daughters.

Immediately after his 2019 release, he was deported from the U.S. to his native Italy. While he had lived his entire life in the United States, he was actually born in Italy. After failing to find a way back to the States, he moved to the Bahamas to stay relatively close to his children. Joe and Teresa Giudice divorced in 2020, and both have moved on to new relationships.

During his 41 months in prison, Joe Giudice lost nearly 50 pounds and came out in the best shape of his life. He credited boxing as a main reason for such a dramatic change. Since he no longer appears on RHONJ, he had to find other ways to make money.

His latest gig is a celebrity boxing event against a former soap star. Celebrity Boxing is promoting an upcoming bout between Joe Giudice and former General Hospital star Antonio Sabato Jr.

Who Is Antonio Sabato Jr.?

Antonio Sabato Jr. is most famous these days for his political stance. He heavily supported former President Donald Trump, even speaking at the 2016 Republican National Convention. The former in-demand actor has claimed that he was ‘blackballed’ by Hollywood after speaking at the RNC.

He was notably absent as a guest speaker at the recent 2024 RNC. He told the Daily Mail last month that he is moving away from politics and had signed with Celebrity Boxing for a new career path.

Antonio Sabato Jr. was once a model for Calvin Klein and played Jagger Cates on General Hospital from 1992 until 1995. The show recently brought the character back, but brought in a new actor instead of asking Sabato Jr. to reprise the role.

Since Joe Giudice isn’t allowed in the U.S., the event will take place in Nassau, Bermuda. The two TV stars will go head-to-head on the Pay-Per-View special on December 7.
