TLC’s Shauna Rae On Fertility Future, Freezing Eggs
It’s been quite some time since I Am Shauna Rae put out new episodes on TLC. But even so, many fans are eager to keep up with the reality star and her family. Thankfully, Shauna and several of her family members maintain an active social media presence.
In a recent YouTube video, Shauna opened up about her fertility journey and how she might welcome children in the future. Read on and see what she had to say.
Shauna Rae Wants To Expand Her Family Someday
As seen on the show, Shauna Rae has expressed her desire to have a family someday. However, due to her previous health issues, there are a lot of questions about her fertility. That’s why she’s been working with a specialist.
The TLC star uses her YouTube channel to share updates with fans. Now, she wants to keep people in the loop about her fertility.
“[The doctor] talked about eggs versus embryos, and we didn’t talk much on embryos because I had discussed that I’m not looking to do embryos because I don’t have my set partner,” Shauna shared. She does have a committed partner at the moment, but she wasn’t quite sure if they felt ready for such a monumental step.
Shauna has shared photos of her partner on Instagram with their face hidden. For Valentine’s Day she shared,
“Happy Valentine’s Day Baby! ❤️ I hope everyone is having an amazing day and go treat yourself! Y’all deserve it! Love yourselves! ❤️”

“I do see them as being my future, but asking them to be the donor to my eggs and make an embryo so I can freeze it for maybe 10 years or so in the future, is a huge commitment,” the TLC star added. “So I went into the appointment basically going, ‘No, I don’t think they’re going to be up for it.'”
The TLC Star Fears Asking For A Sperm Donation Could Hurt Her Relationship
It’s still a topic that Shauna wants to discuss with her partner, but she has reservations.
“I don’t know if it’s going to lead to a disruption in the relationship. I don’t know if it’s going to end the relationship,” she continued, adding that she also isn’t sure if her partner’s family will have problems with it. “There’s a lot of factors with asking someone to be a donor.”
