Christina Hall Alleges Ex-Husband Stole Money From Her
HGTV fans were taken by surprise when news broke that Josh and Christina Hall planned to end their marriage. For the past several weeks, they’ve been promoting a new show, The Flip Off, which they made together.
Although Christina plans to continue The Flip Off as a single woman, the rest of the break-up isn’t going to be so simple. In new court documents, she claims Josh stole a significant amount of money from her.
This is one celebrity divorce that seems like it will get much worse before it resolves.
Christina Hall Wants Her Money Returned
Dividing assets is always a difficult subject in any marriage. That’s especially true when the couple owns so many assets and properties, as the Halls do.
Now, Christina alleges Josh stole tens of thousands of dollars from her account.
“Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of my separate property rental income into his account.” Christina alleges in the paperwork, as reported by ET. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”
Christina goes on to say that her ex-husband got in touch with her professional property manager through a text on July 8, the day after they filed to end their marriage. The text reportedly reads, “Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it’s time? Thank you.”

But according to Christina, she didn’t learn about this text until July 21. Now, she wants her money returned.
“I would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced,” she claims, asserting that her property manager believed she approved Josh’s request.
The HGTV Star Claps Back Over The Spousal Support Request
When news broke about the Hall’s divorce, reports circulated that Josh sought spousal support. Many fans thought it was an odd move. And apparently, Christina thinks so too.
“I understand that at some point this court may require that I pay some spousal support to Josh and reasonable attorney’s fees to his counsel,” the HGTV star continued in the court documents. “However, it is my belief that this is a simple case with straightforward accounting over a short period of time, any fees and costs should be minimal.”
“Like all hard-working mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work,” Christina continued. “It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore he should not need any spousal support from me. He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and costs. Quite frankly I am shocked and concerned by the fact that he has diverted over $35,000 of my separate property money to his separate account on July 8, 2024. The fact that this is the same date he now alleges to be our date of separation, even though it is actually July 7, 2024, makes it clear why he chose the next day.”
