Whitney Thore shared some rather shocking photos on Instagram on Tuesday to promote the new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. The TLC star triggered a number of her animal-loving followers. Keep reading to see why so many people were up in arms.

Whitney Thore Shares Startling Photos With Dead Deer

The My Big Fat Fab Life star shared a video compilation of photos and clips to Instagram on Tuesday. Several of the photos showed Whitney Way Thore in camouflage posing for photos with family. Glenn Thore can be seen in some of the photos and videos.

However, it wasn’t Whitney’s fashion choices that had people reeling in the comments. In one of the photos shown in the montage, the TLC star can be seen posing with her face up against a dead deer. Another snapshot showed her pretending to make the dead deer kiss someone else.

In the caption, Whitney wrote, “The moment vs. the photos. See y’all tonight at 9 for a new ep!” Her followers couldn’t wait to rush to the comments with their thoughts about the photoshoot.

One passionate person commented, “Watched you from the beginning and this is the first time anything of yours has upset me – those poor beautiful creatures – I thought you were an animal lover. Abhor hunting and yes I’m vegetarian before you ask.”

Whitney Thore responded, “I didn’t kill these animals but I regret to inform you that I’ve been eating meat for 40 years that someone else killed, so by that logic you should have always been upset with me. I hope you are able to move past this and find peace!”

My Big Fat Fab Life Fans Sent Reeling Over Dead Animal Pics

Another follower said that they wouldn’t be able to put an “actual dead animal” that close to their face, stating that they probably would have cried. Whitney had a response for them as well.

She wrote, “Yeah, I get what you mean, but then I remember that I eat animals that are killed in abhorrent conditions unlike my nephew who killed this deer and then I call myself a hypocrite and move on.”

Several other people commented, suggesting that it was in “poor taste” for Whitney Thore to pose with a dead animal. Others pointed out that the Big Fat Fab Life star has always claimed to be an animal lover. “Just lost a longtime fan,” one Instagram user wrote.

The comments weren’t all negative though. Many people wrote that they thought the photoshoot with the family was nice, others stated that Whitney Thore looked beautiful in the pics. Viewers can see what the photos are all about during this season of the show.

New episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Life air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
