‘Today’ Hoda Kotb Feels Homesick While Covering Paris Olympics
Hoda Kotb is incredibly passionate about being a mother to her young daughters, Haley and Hope. That’s why it’s going to be incredibly hard for her to be away from them while she’s covering the upcoming Summer Olympic games in Paris.
But even so, there are plenty of ways for Hoda to keep in touch with Hope and Haley. It’s going to be a rough time period, but the Today hostess has been coming up with ways to ease the stress.
Hoda Kotb Has A Cute Plan To Keep Her Daughters Occupied During Her Absence
Hoda Kotb’s fans have loved seeing her become a mother after adopting her two little girls. She’s incredibly dedicated to their care and well-being. And that’s where she came up with an idea to do a craft with Hope and Haley while they wait for her to return from Paris.
Hoda plans to regularly check in with her little girls but wants to make it fun as well. During Today With Hoda & Jenna, she shared her plan with viewers. They’re going to make a “Love You Loops” paper chain.
“I do a loop a day where we hide a little something like stickers or hair ties, and then they know how many days are left,” Hoda shared on the show. Jenna joked that there were going to be some pretty long loops since the team will be away so long.
Members of the Today team will be in Paris during the entire run of the Olympics, which runs from July 26 through August 11. It’s just a little over a two-week span. More than likely, Hoda’s girls will stay with their father. Hoda and her ex-fiance Joel Schiffman adopted Haley in 2017 and Hope in 2019.
The Today Anchor Can’t Wait To Cheer On Team USA
While Hoda will definitely miss her little girls, she’s also excited to be part of this monumental occasion. On July 1, she posted photos of herself posing with the USA gymnastics team.

“I have to do all the things you have to do before you get on a plane, but I’m excited,” the Today hostess shared during her segment with Jenna Bush Hager, noting that she wants to get her nails done and get an outlet converter before the big trip.
“I said to Jenna, ‘I don’t know if I have the clothes,’” Hoda continued. “You go, ‘I’m getting it. I’m done,’ literally, on her phone. 15 minutes later, I go upstairs and what’s there? All Americana, cool, fun stuff. I’m packing it up.”
