Mary Fitzgerald Details Her Past Struggles In Her New Memoir
Most Selling Sunset fans love Mary. She generally tries to avoid drama and wants to be the voice of reason among her coworkers. But she also had more than her fair share of heartbreak in her past.
The Sun reports that Mary Fitzgerald admitted to “blocking things out” to push away painful memories in her early adulthood. Sadly, she details many of these heartwrenching experiences in her new autobiography.
“I cannot even talk about it still without just, like tearing up because it was so…it impacted me so much,” Mary shared with the publication, starting to tear up. “It made me realize… different ways of how far I’ve come, and what that girl went through, and where I am now.”
Many Selling Sunset fans might not realize that Mary Fitzgerald previously had two husbands. The real estate agent tends to keep her past quiet, but that’s all going to change in the memoir. Mary will also open up about her time living in London and her choice to leave in order to protect her young son.

“There’s going to be things I haven’t really touched on that happened there,” Mary continued. “I love the UK. I would’ve loved to have stayed there, but my son didn’t want to stay there. It was an unhealthy time in my life, so I had to move and come back.”
The Selling Sunset Star Found Healing In The Writing Process
To cope with the pain and trauma, Mary turned to therapy. But while working with her ghostwriter, a lot of the personal agony bubbled back to the surface. It’s been a long journey, but Mary is excited to share her story with the world.
“There’s been so much that happened in my life, that it’s surprising. It’s pretty impressive actually. But there were really, I had to talk to my therapist a couple of times on some of the things because I would just break down,” Mary continued in the interview. “And it was very, very hard to go back there.”
