‘MBFFL’ Hunter Thore’s First Date With Girlfriend Includes Whitney
While My Big Fat Fabulous Life covers Whitney Way Thore’s approach to weight loss and living “big,” her family has also been a significant part of the show. For instance, her brother, Hunter Thore, has been with her through her journey. But now, fans believe, Hunter is taking a larger role in the current season. In the upcoming episode, Hunter meets his new girlfriend for the first time, but Whitney is quickly involved.
Hunter Thore Takes A Bigger Part
Undeniably, My Big Fat Fabulous Life has been on TLC since its first season in 2015. While the spotlight is on the lead, Whitney Way Thore, her mom, dad, brother, and friends have always been part of the storyline. However, everyone plays a bit of second fiddle to Whitney throughout the show. But now, Hunter Thore seemingly is emerging to steal part of the spotlight. Or perhaps, Whitney is learning to share and wants to give her dear brother additional screen time. Whatever the case, Hunter is showing fans how he is living out his dream. Furthermore, this week’s sneak peek reveals he meets up with his new girlfriend, Karen. But his first date can’t be solely for him, it is a grand meeting of the family as well.
Hunter Thore Has A First Date With Karen
When the clip for the upcoming episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life was released this week, fans got a glimpse of Hunter Thore meeting Karen. While the two have been chatting online for more than a year, they hadn’t taken the giant step of meeting in person. Nevertheless, the fateful moment has arrived. On the July 23 episode, fans will see Hunter finally introduce himself in person. As she steps out of the car, he anxiously says, “Hey. Wow, you look great.”
Likewise, as she sees him in real life she adds, “Thanks. You look handsome.” Then, with a smile, alleviating some of his nerves, she says, “So nice to meet you, finally.” Later, Hunter confesses in an interview with producers, “Yo, I’m gonna keep it real. When I first saw Karen, knocked me out. Like, stunner. She looked so beautiful.” Further adding the complexity of the first date. He says, “But this is not a regular situation. We’ve been talking for a little over a year, but this is the first time we’re meeting in person.”
Hunter Thore’s First Date With Girlfriend Includes Whitney
In a confessional Hunter Thore explains, “This is the first time we are meeting in person.” Then, he adds, “I’m meeting her for the first time, but she’s also meeting my family for the first time and that’s a little awkward.” They are together for his first movie premiere. Furthermore, it flashes back to Hunter letting Karen know who she is meeting. He says, “You’re gonna meet my sister,” referring to Whitney Way Thore. But it doesn’t stop there. He continues, “My other sister,” speaking of Angie. The camera pans to Karen who nods her head and acknowledges, “Okay.” Additionally, Hunter keeps saying, “My father and my nephew.” Then, he pauses with a glance to see her reaction. She interjects, “Okay,” and he finishes his statement, “Cody.” Understandably, he knows it is a lot to take in.
In a different preview, Whitney Way Thore admits that she doesn’t think Hunter Thore’s girlfriend is ready to meet them as she shows off a face treatment. She clarifies, “So her first date, she’s meeting you and the entire family?”
It cuts to Hunter nervously nodding, “yes.” Then, Whitney states, “Well, I don’t know if she’s ready for us.” Furthermore, Glenn Thore gives a hair flip while wearing a wig. Whitney belly laughs saying, “I would be scared if I was her.”
Karen’s View
After the first sight in person, Karen reveals how she felt about meeting Hunter Thore. She gushes, “Seeing Hunter for the first time, he’s way more attractive than I anticipated.” In a confessional interview, she adds, “And it makes me a little nervous. And he seems like he has a good personality in person, so I’m looking forward to spending more time with him tonight.”
