‘BIP’ Faves Joe Amabile & Serena Pitt Give Update On Married Life
Neither Joe Amabile or Serena Pitt were successful in finding lasting love on their respective seasons of Bachelor Nation shows. He did enter into a relationship with Kendall Long after meeting on Season 5 of Bachelor In Paradise, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Joe returned to the beach again for Season 7. After moping for a few episodes, he eventually formed a connection and fell in love with Serena Pitt. The two got engaged on the season finale and finally married, for the first time, in October 2022.
They wed again in September 2023 in a stunning ceremony in Charleston, South Carolina. As their anniversary approaches, the two share an update on how married life is going.

PEOPLE magazine caught up with Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile at Jill Zarin’s annual luncheon in New York City. The event honors Jill’s late husband, Bobby Zarin. According to Serena, her husband is quite close with the Bravo reality star. How did they meet?
Jill Zarin and Joe Amabile were both contestants on Season 1 of the Amazon Prime original reality show, The GOAT. Serena told the outlet that the Jill has become a “good friend” of the couple.
BIP Faves Joe Update On Married Life
The BIP couple’s first wedding was a lowkey courthouse ceremony. But they went all out for their second wedding. “Our wedding was obviously the best day of our lives — it was so magical,” Serena said about the Charleston ceremony. Several Bachelor Nation stars came out to the big event, including their BIP co-stars, Abigail Heringer, Noah Erb, Mari Pepin, and Kenny Braasch.
BIP bartender Wells Adams also attended the nuptials with his wife, actress Sarah Hyland. Mari and Kenny were one of the three couples to get engaged on Season 7. They married in November 2023. Abigail Heringer and Noah Erb plan to marry this fall after getting back together following Season 7.
She added that married life is “good” and shared that they still live in New York City for the moment. Her husband chimed in, “Everything’s good. It’s very chill, which is good.”
Serena Pitt clarified that a “chill” marriage is a good thing.
What’s Next?
The Bachelor In Paradise alums didn’t reveal much about their future plans. They previously talked about having children, but didn’t share an update on that front.
The two are still in that newlywed stage of their marriage, enjoying their time together with outings to events like Jill Zarin’s luncheon.
