Is ‘Below Deck Sailing’ Delayed Because Of Gary King?

Gary King liked the girls on Below Deck Sailing, but of course, he’s not alone. However, many Bravo fans now fear that his behavior as alleged by production staffer, Samantha Suarez, delayed the arrival of Season 5, and there are fears that the show might be canceled altogether.

Gary King Got Off Lightly After Allegations Surfaced?

The allegations by Makeup Artist, Samantha, suggested that when the crew was in a hotel, the First Office got “drunk” after the confessional interviews were filmed. So, she apparently took it upon herself to make sure that he stayed in his room. Things spiraled down and she alleged that the Bravo star made sexual advances on her. Not officially fired, some critics think he got off lightly.

Gary King’s sole punishment seems to have been a ban from attending BravoCon 2023. Additionally, he denied the incident ever happened. One person’s word against another might make it hard to find out what really happened during the Below Deck Sailing filming. However, with no sign of Season 5, viewers worry that he caused a delay and the show might even end up canceled.

Below Deck Sailing Season 5 Hiatus Gary’s Fault?

A week ago, the former First Officer on Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing posted on Instagram about wishing to sail to Mallorca. One critic slammed him for doing something against another person’s will. Angry because he said his mom raised him right, he slammed the critic hard.

Gary King said:

Against their will, what the f–k are you talking about never have I nor will I ever do anything against anyone’s will, get a life and go talk s–t somewhere else. Ps f–k off.

In the comments section, it might surprise you how many Bravo fans stood up in support of Gary. However, on Reddit, Below Deck Sailing fans took a dimmer view. One of them screenshot some of the bad comments and posted it for other Redditors to comment on.

The Discussion About Season 5

It was interesting that the former First Officer couldn’t say whether Below Deck Sailing would return for Season 5. Or, if he would be in it. However, on Reddit, the OP said:

I just finished sailing yacht and was doing some snooping around and came across these comments, also i saw people in here saying s5 might not even come out bc of some sh-t with Gary so this is all very interesting to me lol.

• Gary just doesn’t get it. He has horrible impulse control issues around women, but for some reason, otherwise perfectly lovely women like Mads and Daisy reward and reinforce Gary’s aggressive arm-grabbing, barreling into and clotheslining around their necks.
• I have a very easy time believing he has little to no awareness of when he has crossed a boundary. I think it’s entirely possible that the accusations are true and he thinks there was consent.
• I’m watching the season of SY when daisy hooks up with Collin and the way Gary lies so much to both of them about that situation is CRAZY. During that whole season he just lies unprovoked and it’s truly odd.
