‘Sister Wives’ Who Was Kody Brown’s Favorite Wife Before Robyn?
It’s no secret that Sister Wives star Kody Brown favored Robyn over his other three wives. And as viewers saw over the years, that completely sabotaged his other marriages.
But Robyn and Kody didn’t marry until Season 1. For several years, Kody, Christine, Meri, and Janelle lived together with their children.
So who was the favorite wife before Robyn entered the picture?
Sister Wives Fans Have Different Opinions About The Original Favorite
Before the Brown family completely imploded, they seemed happy onscreen. They had their issues, but Kody seemed to have a happier relationship with his wives in the days before Robyn.
“Who was the favorite before Robyn?” one Sister Wives fan wondered on Reddit. “This man pits his wives and their children against each other for his own gain. Before Robyn came in, who acted as the favorite? I don’t have a guess myself, although Janelle is the only one that makes sense. But she was also affected the least by the new dynamic.”
In the comments, other fans had a wide range of different opinions.
“I believe each of the OG3 had moments where they were the favorite. Robyn is the only one who ever got consistent favoritism,” one thoughtful Redditor shared.
“I also saw the episode the other day (during yet another rewatch) where he talks about how in love he was with Meri when they married and then says he’s in love with all three of his wives,” another viewer chimed in. “This was obviously before he married Robyn. I think he really was in love with each of them until he married Robyn and she really got her hooks into him and was able to start pushing all these negatives thoughts into his head. I also believe he was an equal opportunity user before he married Robyn, then we saw him become an equal opportunity abuser. Either way he’s trash.”
Ultimately, it seems everyone agreed on one thing only — Robyn greatly disrupted any semblance of a loving dynamic the Browns had.
Where Will The Brown Family Go From Here?
Over the past year, many Sister Wives fans have wondered how much longer the show can continue. After all, there isn’t much of a polygamist dynamic any longer. Kody Brown has clearly chosen Robyn as his ideal wife, leading the other marriages to crumble and burn.
It’s hard to say exactly where the series will go from here. Since Kody chose Robyn, Christine moved on with a new man, David Woolley. Fans hope Meri and Janelle will also find partners that always put them first.
