She was speaking to a friend on the podcast, and they talked about something Kelly did for her when she was at her lowest.

Kelly Ripa Helped Save Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg’s Career
Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg is one of the top stars of TV’s The Masked Singer. She got her start as a Playboy model before picking up some smaller movie roles, and then she headed into a television career. However, there was a point when Jenny said she was at her lowest, and Kelly Ripa was there to help her.
McCarthy-Wahlberg was on Ripa’s podcast episode titled Jenny McCarthy: On Vow Renewals, The Vatican and the Very Scary Pill on a Plane, and she talked about how Kelly “saved her life.”
In 2007, Jenny’s son received his autism diagnosis, and Jenny was scheduled to come on Kelly’s Live show. She said it was the last thing she wanted to do, but she said that she had to feed Evan and get him medical care. She needed the money.
Jenny said that she “clung” to Kelly Ripa like a life preserver. “I’m so grateful; I will never forget it was the lowest part of my entire life,” Jenny said. Kelly said that she hooked Jenny up with a guy who ran an autism organization, which led to Jenny writing her book. Jenny said Kelly also helped her promote her book.
Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg Returning To The Masked Singer
While Jenny’s son received his autism diagnosis in 2007, it hasn’t stopped him from making a life for himself. He even works on The Masked Singer with his mother as a crew member.
Speaking of The Masked Singer, the show returns in September for a new season. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg will be back alongside Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora once again. This will be Ora’s second season on the show, as Nicole Scherzinger left the show before last season to work on a music tour.
Ora made a good impression. It looks like Scherzinger won’t be back on The Masked Singer at all, as Ora remains in the cast. The entire season was already filmed, as it was shot from June 6 through June 26, but the results and cast were kept secret. There will be 16 celebrity reveals once again this season.
