‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’ Angie Burdett’s Hunt For Adopted Child, Is It Real?
Whitney Way Thore constantly gets My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans wondering if her storylines are fake, and now, they question whether her half-sister, Angie Burdett really gave up a child for adoption. Recall, that at the end of the last season of the TLC show, Glenn Thore wanted to move to Alabama to help Angie track down her baby.
Whitney Way Thore Fakery Questioned
The main TLC star was supposedly pregnant in one season of the TLC show. Much followed, but it turned out that she hadn’t expected a baby. Naturally, fans blamed the MBFFL production for it. As far as they were concerned, it was just drama for a storyline. Other potentially fake storylines also came along, so many people doubt some of the dramatic rescues by EMTs.
Many My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers even wondered if Whitney Way Thore faked a diabetes scare. More recently, they wondered if Angie Burdett, the long-lost daughter of Glenn Thore, was real. Anonymous boyfriends, like the French Tutor, and more, seem to irritate TLC fans because the scenes either seem fake or badly acted in their opinion.

Angie Burdett Hunts For An Adopted Child?
The cliffhanger at the end of Season 11 of MBFFL never happened. Glenn Thore didn’t move to Alabama to live with Angie and help her search for her adopted child. So, now, TLC skeptics wonder if that was yet another fake story to keep Whitney on reality TV.
On Reddit, the question of fakery for Whitney Way Thore was thoroughly discussed by TLC fans. Not everyone agrees that it’s a fake storyline, but it seems that few people can tell what is true and what has been faked. The original caption said:
Did Angie actually give up a baby for adoption? It’s hard for me to believe this isn’t another made up part of the show to try to keep it from dying. The timing is strange and it feels like another scripted part for attention, just like the egging scene. Like they’re desperately throwing fake c–p out hoping something sticks and changes how everyone views Whitney. What do you think?…
The Fakery Discussion
Commenters seem to like Angie in preference to Whitney Way Thore. But, that doesn’t mean they didn’t extensively discuss the possibility of fakery. Here are some comments that indicate whether the hunt for an adopted baby might be true or not.
- I have a hard time believing anything on this show. This being a fake storyline wouldn’t surprise me.
- Possibly she did indeed give up a child, but they’re not seriously looking for him… And MBFFL has faked plenty of ‘taboo’ topics, like Whit’s ‘pregnancy scare’ in season 4, using Heather as a surrogate, etc. It’s not outside the realm of possibility.
- I don’t think the adoption story itself (her placing the son for adoption) is fake, but I did question whether or not they’re actually looking for him or if it’s just a plotline for the show.
- I think that if the show has proven to be fairly scripted already then logically it’s fair game to assume this could be as well.
What do you think about the adopted child Glenn Thore wanted to help Angie find? Do you think that there is a child that was given up for adoption? Or, do you agree that TLC might have cobbled together a story to keep giving Witney Way Thore storylines?
