Game Show Exposes Cracks In ‘Golden Bachelor’ Marriage
Without a doubt, Golden Bachelor fans have been waiting to see the release of the Celebrity Family Feud episode that was recorded before Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s divorce announcement. Now that it is out, a body language expert is weighing in on cracks in the marriage that are exposed during the show.
The Golden Bachelor Takes On The Bachelor
As the Bachelor Nation teams stood toe-to-toe it was an exciting evening. Bachelor Joey Graziadei, Kelsey Anderson, Charity Lawson, Dotun Olubeko, Kaity Biggar, and Zach Shallcross took on The Golden Bachelor team. It was Gerry Turner, and Theresa Nist with each of their kids, Angie, Jenny, Jen, and Tommy. But the Celebrity Family Feud match was recorded just a week before Gerry and Theresa dropped the bomb about dissolving their marriage. Undeniably, fans got their popcorn out to see what they could spot during the episode. However, they were keeping up appearances fairly well during the game show. Although most interactions seem kosher, a body language expert saw some actions worth pointing out.
Body Language Expert Weighs In
Notably, body language expert, Judi James, talks about Theresa Nist’s being “terrified.” Furthermore, she notices Theresa is very dependent on The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner who was easily “showboating” his way through the episode alongside Steve Harvey. According to The U.S. Sun, Judi says, “Theresa looked vulnerable and reluctant from start to finish.” Judi also adds, “Her signals showed she desperately wanted her marriage to Gerry to be her happy ending. The saddest non-verbal tell was when she self-comforted using her wedding ring. Gerry’s gestures, however, showed he viewed the marriage as a ladder rung to fame.”
Game Show Exposes Cracks In Golden Bachelor Marriage
Undeniably, the Celebrity Family Feud game show was an eye-opener for Judi James. She says, “Theresa showed no similar signs of seeking fame or of an inflated ego. This is what would cause them to divorce months later and suggest an insurmountable flaw in their marriage. Her signals showed she desperately wanted her marriage to Gerry to be her happy ending.” Then, she adds, “She played with her wedding ring when she was put under pressure during the question round.” She said, “This showed a desire to turn to her husband for backup and reassurance, as expected in a marriage. Theresa did it more than once here, which suggested she had genuine feelings for him despite their imminent split.” She says, “Theresa looked terrified alone in the spotlight, and her eyes sometimes signaled sadness.”
Sadly, Theresa Nist Doesn’t Want To Be There
After winning three rounds, The Golden Bachelor team headed to the Fast Money segment. Without a doubt, Theresa Nist was nervous. Steve Harvey jokes, “Are you out here against your will?” And Theresa doesn’t hesitate, but exclaims, “Yes!” Judi assesses the interaction and notes Theresa’s mouth movements give away that she doesn’t want to be there. Judi analyzes, “Theresa rubbed her tongue around the inside of her mouth in a gurning ritual here.” Further, she says, “Her rictus smile suggested she was not joking.”
The Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Was In Heaven
Contrarily, The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner was in it to win it. Judi explains, “Set against Theresa’s vulnerability was Gerry’s competitiveness and total focus on winning.”
Noting his boisterous behavior, she says, “His wide, rapid stride, with his heels hitting the floor first, made it look like he could not wait to show off his charm and wit.” Furthermore, she says, “Gerry came on like a rat out of a trap with his jaunty showboating walk.” Additionally, pointing out, “He had a huge grin for the host but no concern, loving glances of congratulation or reassurance to his wife.”
