Big Brother 26 is returning this month, and fans are unhappy. The show will air on CBS as usual, and the regular live feeds will air live on Paramount+. However, those live feeds have a new change, making many fans angry and threatening to boycott the show altogether.

Here is what has changed and why fans are mad.

Big Brother 26 Live Feeds Now Limited

Big Brother has live feeds for fans to watch in the house, day and night. This used to be online, and then it moved to streaming when that became popular. However, the ability to watch live feeds has been severely limited this season. Fans have threatened to boycott the show as a result.

It used to be that fans could watch the live feeds live, which was a big lure for them. Anytime a fan wanted to get onto the site or streaming feed, they could watch what was happening in the house in real-time. That has not changed. However, what has changed is that Paramount+ will not have flashbacks or archives available from the live online feeds.

If a person isn’t watching when something happens in the live feeds, they won’t be able to see it at all. Paramount+ revealed this, but not in a major announcement. Instead, it just reads, “Starting this season, archives and flashbacks are no longer available- but you can still watch all four cameras with our live feeds!”

It sounds like they wanted to pass this change off as quietly as possible so fans wouldn’t get too upset. It didn’t work. Fans can’t rewind the live feeds or save clips. When it happens, it is gone.

Big Brother Fans React To Live Feeds Changes

Big Brother fans are already feeling a little worried about this season. Between the AI theme, dissatisfaction with the contestant introductions, and the fear of who or what the mystery player will be, things are off to a rough start before the first episode even airs.

That fear also might play into the reason for the live feed changes. Last season, one person was called out for racial and sexist comments made that the live feeds caught. Now, if it happens, there is no way of recording and preserving or playing back the comments. It is a way to protect the players from their own stupidity.

Fans lashed out about the changes as well:

  • “I would be VERY happy if someone would tell me I am reading this wrong…. no more flashback?”
  • “So not as bad as cancelling the feeds outright, but its a close second…”
  • “What the f? How are we supposed to go back in time to watch?? I have a job and a sleep schedule”
  • “Live feeds archives and flashbacks not only allow fans to catch up on the days events after work but also allows for clarification and clarity on sometimes murky situations.”

Big Brother 26 premieres on Wednesday night, July 17, at 9/8c on CBS. The live feeds will stream on Paramount+.

Are you surprised theĀ Big Brother live feeds won’t allow replays or clips? Do you think there is a good reason for this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
