‘DWTS’ Cast Remembers Jacoby Jones In Light Of His Death
Across the country, many felt shocked and saddened to learn of Jacoby Jones’ death on July 14, 2024. The NFL player was only 40 years old and seemed to be the picture of health. So far, official details surrounding his death remain scarce.
While Jones was well-known for his time in the NFL, many Dancing With The Stars fans fondly remember his time in the ballroom. He competed in Season 16 with former pro dancer, Karina Smirnoff. The pair finished in third place out of 12 couples.

It’s been a particularly rough weekend for celebrity deaths. Charmed actress Shannen Doherty passed away, as well as fitness guru Richard Simmons. Sadly, Baltimore Ravens player Jacoby Jones joined that list.
Dancing With The Stars pros expressed their condolences over Jones’ passing.
“Rest in peace my friend. Got a text this morning from DC and it broke my heart,” reigning champion Val Chmerkovskiy wrote on Instagram. “Thinking of Jacobys family and his beautiful mother. Sending my condolences to Ms Emily and the entire Nola and Houston community for whom he’s done so much. I will always be grateful for our friendship beyond the dancefloor or the football field. Thank you for bringing me into your home, to the cookout, to your charity events, I will miss you. Shining light, always making people laugh around him, always showing love and giving back. #RIPJacoby”

Former DWTS pro Cheryl Burke also penned a post for her dearly departed friend.
“Absolutely devastated by the loss of my dear friend and fellow #dwts co-star, Jacoby Jones, who passed away in his sleep early this morning. While we weren’t dance partners, I had the honor of sharing unforgettable moments with him, from being part of his trio dance to supporting his cherished foundation.
