‘Bachelor’ Alum Lexi Young Shares Major Health Update
Lexi Young was the perfect type of contestant for The Bachelor. Young, gorgeous, and relatable. Many fans felt her pain when she opened up on the show about her battle with endometriosis. While Joey Graziadei was supportive of her health struggles, it ultimately ended their relationship.
The two matched perfectly on many levels but had fundamentally different views on marriage and children. Due to her condition, Lexi Young knew that having children was a top priority before it was too late. In fact, she had her eggs frozen just weeks before leaving to film the show. But for Joey, he wanted a long engagement and children far into the future. The difference of opinions led the fan-favorite contestant to self-eliminate.
Since her time on the show, Lexi Young has used her platform to spread awareness about endometriosis. She recently shared an update on her health.
Lexi Young Has Major Health Update Before Surgery
According to the World Health Organization, 10% of women worldwide suffer from endometriosis. The severity of the symptoms varies, and Lexi Young has stage 5, which is the most severe. Her condition got so bad during filming The Bachelor that she landed in the hospital.
Unfortunately, there’s no cure for endometriosis, so it’s an ongoing battle for Lexi Young and millions of other women. She recently opened up her Instagram DMs to questions from her followers. One follower inquired about Lexi’s health. According to bachelornation.com, Lexi revealed that her medical condition has been “really bad” lately. She added that she’s been “stressed and exhausted” from battling the painful condition. Another stress was trying to figure out the best time to have another surgery.
“I am actually seeing my endo surgeon later this week! I will continue to share my journey as it’s not the most seamless and easy thing to navigate while being single and in my 30s!”
Bachelor Alum Shares Dating Advice
Lexi Young didn’t find love with Joey Graziadei but still hopes her person is out there. She shared something she’s learned from previous dating experiences. She advised her followers on what to look for in a partner.
“Find someone who gets excited about the same things that you do. Make sure you can be 100% yourself around them. Trust your gut, it’s always right.”
She suggested giving people a chance. “Some of my best dates were with people that I wasn’t excited about before meeting them. There is no right person, wrong time. If two people love each other, you can make anything work.”
Some Bachelor Nation fans have pushed her to date Bachelor In Paradise alum Tanner Courtad. But it doesn’t seem she’s taken the advice. Do you want to see Lexi Young on BIP when it returns next year? Share your thoughts in the comments.
