7 Little Johnstons: Fans Finally Met Liz Johnston’s Daughter In Season 14
In recent 7 Little Johnstons Season 14 episodes, viewers finally got the payoff that they’d been hoping for. All season long, TLC teased Liz Johnston welcoming her baby with Brice Bolden. As viewers saw, this storyline became the focal point of the entire season.
However, as veteran 7 Little Johnstons and TLC viewers know, the network is all about maximizing drama. With this being the case, watchers were not sure if all of Leighton’s arrival would be seen this season. Luckily, the network decided to include her birth, and viewers met her rather than having to wait on a cliffhanger till next season.
Welcoming Leighton Bolden Was An Adjustment For Entire TLC Family
With the arrival of baby Leighton Bolden, not only did Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden have to adjust to their new roles as parents, but, the entire 7 Little Johnstons family has had to adjust to their new, average-size family member. Jonah Johnston even joked that by the time Leighton is a toddler, she would be able to borrow Emma Johnston’s clothes.
7 Little Johnstons fans have even gone so far as to slam Amber Johnston, as she was visibly disappointed that her first grandchild was not going to be a little person. As much as Amber advocates for little people, many viewers feel like she has gone a little too far.
7 Little Johnstons: Liz Johnston Opens Up About Raising Average-Size Baby
One example of something that Liz Johnston had to navigate with raising a newborn, average-size baby was finding a crib where, she and the rest of her family could put Leighton down without needing a stool. Luckily, she was able to find a solution with a company that specializes in making cribs for parents in wheelchairs, to make it easier on them, too.
According to Liz, one of the hardest parts about being a new mom has been dealing with strangers out in public. Liz told TODAY: “People just have a curiosity of, ‘What kind of baby does a 4-foot-tall mom have?’ They try to sneak pictures and come up and want to touch the stroller and want to see her and get close to her. I’ve had the ‘mean mom’ mode come out of me when I’m like, ‘No. Sorry. No. No.'”
According to Liz Johnston, the plan for the future is to work their “butts off” in order to be able to buy land by the end of the year, to eventually build a home on. With baby Leighton growing bigger by the day, Liz and Brice seem to have a solid plan in place to build the life they want, and 7 Little Johnstons fans will be around to see it come to fruition.
