Becca Kufrin Opens Up About Marriage To Thomas Jacobs
Becca Kufrin had one of the most notorious breakups in the history of the ABC dating franchise. She got engaged to Arie Luyendyk Jr. on Season 22 of The Bachelor. However, he ended their engagement to pursue a relationship with runner-up Lauren Burnham, whom he eventually married. Every heartbreaking moment of the breakup was captured on camera and aired on television.
Despite the public humiliation, Kufrin went on to join The Bachelorette as the lead. She once again got engaged, this time to Garrett Yrigoyen. They were together for over two years but never made it down the aisle and broke up in 2020.
She joined Season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise, hoping the third time was the charm for finding love in the franchise. She connected with Thomas Jacobs, but they broke up before the season ended. They were one of the couples, along with Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer, to get back together.
Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs did get engaged but their wedding plans were interrupted when she became pregnant with their first child. They finally married in 2023, a few weeks after their son’s birth.
They chose a simple courthouse wedding with plans to have a second ceremony at a later date. Becca Kufrin confessed to Us Weekly recently that the plans for another wedding are on hold at the moment. But Bachelor Nation fans shouldn’t worry – her marriage to Thomas Jacobs is going strong.
“We got married three weeks after Benny was born and I felt like we were [already] married. In that regard, things still feel the same and nothing’s really changed other than signing the marriage certificate.”
She added that they do hope to have a second ceremony but might wait to do a vow renewal in five years. They are focused on raising their son and perhaps expanding their family. The couple also recently purchased a house together.
Gushes Over ‘Sweetest, Happiest,’ Son, Benny
Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs’ son will turn a year old in September. She gushed to Us Weekly about her son, calling parenthood an “easy” transition.
“And that’s not to say we didn’t have our hardships, of course we did, but Thomas has been wanting to be a father for so long, and he was so ready for that next step.”
She described their son as the “sweetest, happiest boy” and revealed that he should be walking “very soon.”
