Julie Chrisley

The Chrisley family is hopeful for some good news after Julie Chrisley’s conviction was thrown out. The family has been fighting to free Julie and Todd since they were convicted. They finally received some good news when they heard Julie was going to be going home. However, they are not done fighting for Todd Chrisley to be free as well. Keep reading to find out more.

Julie Chrisley Gets Conviction Thrown Out

Julie Chrisley gets to go home. She has been in prison for a while. She received a seven-year prison sentence for tax evasion and fraud. Her husband, Todd Chrisley, received a twelve-year sentence. However, Julie’s conviction has been thrown out and she is returning to her family.

“After careful consideration, and with the benefit of oral argument, we affirm the district court on all issues except for the loss amount attributed to Julie, the district court did not identify the evidence it relied on to hold Julie accountable for losses incurred before 2007, and we cannot independently find it in the record. So we vacate Julie’s sentence and remand solely for the district court to make the factual findings and calculations necessary to determine loss, restitution, and forfeiture as to Julie and to resentence her accordingly,”

Julie is excited to go home to her children. She has had to miss out on a lot of big events that have taken place in her children’s lives.

Family Is Hopeful For More Good News

Julie’s conviction being thrown out gave the family hope. They are wishing for more good news to be headed their way.

“We’re pleased that the Court agreed that Julie’s sentence was improper, but we’re obviously disappointed that it rejected Todd [Chrisley]’s appeal, with this step behind us, we can now challenge the couple’s convictions based on the illegal search that started the case. The family appreciates the continued support they’ve received throughout this process. And they’re hopeful for more good news in the future.”

Savannah Chrisley has been advocating for her parents since they got convicted. She is not done fighting for her parents’ freedom. Her mother will be home, but she is going to continue to fight for her father. This is only the beginning.

It seems that this is only the beginning of the good news for the Chrisleys. Savannah is hoping to fight some more to get her dad home. However, they will at least now have one parent back in their lives. Unfortunately, Julie had to miss out on all of Grayson’s senior year. However, she will be there to support him through college. Savannah has stepped up and is hoping there will be more good news coming their way. Do you think Todd can get out early? Sound off in the comments below.
