Law enforcement sources are claiming that Justin Timberlake was warned not to drive a few minutes before he was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Timberlake was brought into custody in the early hours of Tuesday morning after Sag Harbor police pulled him over, suspecting he was driving under the influence. New reports suggest that he had a chance to get a ride home. Keep reading to see what has been revealed.

Justin Timberlake Was Advised To Stop Driving

A source close to local enforcement told The New York Post that Justin Timberlake was warned to stay off the road by the same officer who arrested him.

“He was stopped and advised not to drive,” the source revealed. “The officer didn’t recognize him; he’s a young guy. And he still gave Justin a break, because he didn’t pose an immediate danger.” After being let go and advised not to continue driving, Timberlake ignored the warning and continued on behind the wheel anyway.

According to the source, the cop thought that his warning would be the “end of it.” They assumed Justin Timberlake would “get a ride home.”

Within a few minutes, the officer saw Timberlake driving down the road again. “What a dumba**,” the insider said of the singer’s decision to drive anyway. “I am thinking he could afford a driver. How’s that for entitlement?”

Timberlake was allegedly seen swerving and running a stop sign when the officer pulled him over again. He was asked to perform a field sobriety test and court documents claim that the SexyBack singer performed “poorly.” Then, J.T. refused a breathalyzer. That was when he was arrested and taken into custody. J.T. was later released without bail.

J.T. Shows Concern Over His Upcoming World Tour

During the traffic stop, Justin Timberlake was reportedly concerned about how the arrest would impact his upcoming world tour. A source said that “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.'”

Confused, the cop asked, “What tour?” Apparently, the officer did not recognize J.T. or his name.

Since the arrest, Timberlake’s world tour has already kicked off. He did his first two performances in Chicago over the weekend.

Addressing his fans in the audience in Chi-town, J.T. said, “We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights, and, um, it’s been a tough week. Nothing can change this.”

The Rock Your Body singer continued, “I know I’m hard to love sometimes but you keep loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much.”

Another source also told The U.S. Sun that Justin Timberlake apologized to the individuals in his inner circle last week as well. He spoke with the crew who is going on tour with him just a few hours after the arrest on Tuesday because several members of the team were concerned about how it would impact the tour.

“He made sure that this arrest didn’t create tension in the crew, he reacted like a boss, like someone who owns his s**t,” the source said. “He said sorry for bringing this kind of attention to the team. Everyone was happy to hear what he said.”
